My all time favorite song
Terry Kath was regarded by Jimi Hendrix as being a greater guitarist than himself. The great Hendrix was correct.
Always loved this tune even though it didn’t get much play on the air.. but, I was just a kid…
Oh...😭
Remember when music was real, not just some skank flashing her junk for the camera.
I just wonder wonder why Peter was so worried about Terry that day. And Chicago is no Chico with out to two of them . Mostly Peter. Nothing!
Oh my god what did I just discover 😮
Love it
I only discovered this recently but was absolutely blown away by the power of the performance. What a time it must have been to be alive to witness it! Stunning playing from the whole band & Terry Kath was just unbelievable
A song about a guy writing a song. Pure genius!!
That's when Chicago was Chicago!!! No one could play or sing like Terry Kath!!! Danny Seraphine on drums was just mind blowing! The brass section playing as one in harmony! Talk about Chicago sounding better live than their Albums just shows what kind of incredible musicians they all were. I saw them in 1974 in Houston at the Summit! Best concert in my life! They were so tight and they loved what they were doing and left everything they had on stage! Blood sweat and tears, baby!!! RIP Terry Kath!!! 🙏
Goong through Terry Kath and Freddie Prinze so close together was brutal.
singular excellence in every instrument and three lead singers. really quite unfair
Great drumming
One of the greatest bands ever when Terry Kath was in it. I saw them after Terry, it was a good show, but would have loved to see them back in the day with Terry. I was a big fan up through Chicago 7.
Gets blown away here, but there is also great jazzy bass line throughout the solo.
Awesome band, original sound, terrific song writing, excellent playing and Kath was the heartbeat. They definitely had their own sound and style. Kath was never appreciated for his guitar playing, the guy was a monster guitar player and accomplished musician.
Clear to see who was driving the live shows!
2025 Present and accounted for! 🎶 🎤
So good I still play on cassette in my truck Chicagos best 👍 Terry Kath is awesome
Been a TerryKath fan since 25 or 6 to 4. It astounds me that other guitarists have said to me who ?
I heard Jimmy Hendrix said he was the greatest guitar player.
Amazing! Hendrix may have been right about Kath
and your guitarist is better than me.____JIMI HENDRIX
I was born in 1970 but grew up listening to music from chicago Beatles eagles creedance Clearwater etc. I loved peter cetera and terry kath. Terry was a mastermind with the guitar, im my opinion very much underrated today. Teach our kids about these fantastic bands and once in a lifetime genre of music!
Dude definitely got that talent from somewhere else.
I'm still mad at him for being so irresponsible and careless. His daughter never got to know him. The music world lost his immense talent in an instant.
I miss Terry so very much. For me, he was Chicago.

Not looking at the fret board, running around like he owns the place. Hard core.
Yes, I'm 62 as of yesterday, and he'll yes , if that us t one of the top 10 guitar riffs of all time, I will bend over, and kiss my own ass. Phenom Phenomical.
Its impossible🎉
A really solid performance with Terry Kath, while he was still with us, here on this Earth. Thanks for sharing! Please have an excellent and awesome day!
Damn Terry!
Sorry I never liked Chicago. I hate dissidence and those out of harmony horns are like nails on a calk board to me. But! That guitar player has talent up one side and down the other. That's some of the best guitar playing I have seen in rock music.
Indeed he was awesome
I would say the closest would be Santana but this band was just on another level. The core band it self was off the charts then you add the horns.
Reminds me of Alvin Lee.
RIP music
It is wonderful to have such a recording to watch and listen to! Thank heavens this video has been posted here! It is amazing to be able to watch “Chicago”, with Terry Kath and the full band in its original lineup! Good sound quality in this video so far at 30 minutes in, video quality is fairly good as well, particularly considering that it is in 1972, I presume that this is a professional recording for a Japanese audience, since there are Japanese subtitles throughout the video, scrolling across the screen. Thanks for sharing! Please have an excellent and awesome day!
Amazing Music esp "Chicago II". Nothing else like it.
Peter Cetera....What a voice and bassist !!!!
The fact I can honestly say THERE WOULD NEVER BE ANOTHER TERRY KATH with complete confidence is the reason watching him today I. 2025 is a movie every time. In my 100,344 watching this video
Takes me back to those glorious days of CHICAGO. Love this song. 🩷
In 1970 the Tanglewood Show Came to KRNT Theatre Des Moine Ia Illinois Speed Press the Opener Both Bands Came Out together and Encore to I’m a Man First Class Act and Perfomance ❤🎸🥳
That is Terry Kath after smoking weed, you should see him on cocaine..........lol
The golden days of Chicago.
The heart and soul of the band. When he died, so did Chicago.
As good as Terry was he never overpowered the band what a tasteful player
