Such a helpful video series! I bought a manufactured doll that I wanted to reweight. She is 16-17" long with legs bent at 90 degrees. Her body is a bit large for her head and limbs, so I took it up about 1 1/2 inches in front and back seams around the belly. I like a little lighter floppy doll. She has full length arms and legs. The company put stuffing waaay down in her hands and feet that I can't get out, so I put less fine glass beading in her legs and none in her arms, since they already weigh 2.5 ounces on their own. I want her to FEEL like 4 lbs, but since "dead weight" feels heavier, I didn't like that she feels like a sand bag. So I backed it off to 3 lbs. I followed your guideline of body (24 oz) 2x the head weight, which is just over 12 oz. I put 9.4 oz in her chest and 14.6 in bottom. Still not right, so I added 2 oz beading to each leg. She feels more balanced to me, but still sand-baggish and bottom heavy. The stuffing in limbs and head is what she came with, the cheaper, heavier stuff. I used high quality softer stuffing in her body. I like how the chest and head area feel... nice and floppy, but I think a little weight in arms, like .5-1 oz in each might work and take a few ounces out of her bottom. I'm shooting for 3 lbs or a little over. I've taken her apart and put her back together twice. Any suggestions? Update: So I'm trying simplest route first: I added .8 oz of beads to each arm. That seems to have made her feel more balanced. Right now she is 3 lbs, .083 oz. Each "end" of her body is about the same weight. I did not remove weight from her bottom. I like how she feels in my arms now. Gonna try this and see what I think.😊 Thank you so much for your videos. Easy to watch and follow!

Watched several of your awesome videos. I am trying to fix a reborn toddler that had sand in her toes and hands and had not been weighted at all. We have complained to the doll maker several times about our doll head being too heavy, falling off and a never being able to sit up. Our granddaughter loves her so I am trying to fix her myself. I paid $350 for this doll with other issues like her hair wig coming off and the zip ties scratching you. The maker is refusing to make it right without charging us more. The doll was given to her as a Christmas gift in 2022 when she was six. This is not a collectible, it was suppose to be played with. Can you tell me the size of your glass beads, where you get them and the narrow zip ties please?
