Simple Suite by Bryan Johanson
มุมมอง 2166 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is a piece I've been playing off and on since the late 1980s, when it was featured in Soundboard magazine - the quarterly print magazine published by the GFA (Guitar Foundation of America). It has 5 short movements: Overture Sarabande Arabesque Lament Jig
Fernando Sor - Study No.1 in C Major Op. 6 No. 8
มุมมอง 749 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is another one of my favorite short study pieces by the great Spanish guitarist/composer Fernando Sor (1778-1839). (This is a re-upload because the last one was clipping and distorting. I had the volume set way too high!)
Bach BWV 1005 Largo (guitar transcription)
มุมมอง 12210 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is my transcription of the Largo from Johann Sebastian Bach's Violin Sonata No. 3 BWV 1005.
Carcassi - Study in Am, Op. 60 No. 7
มุมมอง 17310 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is another favorite of mine. I've been playing it for so long I can't remember when I first learned it - 45 years ago perhaps!
Study in C No.1 Opus 48 by Mauro Giuliani

This is my performance of one of my favorite little study pieces by Giuliani - short and joyful.

J.S. Bach - Double from BWV 1002

Guitar transcription of the Double (Sarabande) by J.S. Bach from BWV 1002.
Yeah, alright, what else you got then
Such a beautiful sound and technique
Amazing vibes, thank you!
Just started reading through this suite again, it's an interesting piece, thanks for the video. Johanson has written a lot of interesting music-I'm still looking for a recording of his piece Labyrinth Op.30, which I think he wrote for David Tanenbaum. Too difficult for me but I remember it had some great passages. I wish Johanson had written more intermediate level music but he may yet I suppose.
@@Timat-s4n Thanks for listening.
Beautiful
Good job, may I ask what make of guitar are you playing?
Yes. It is a 1989 Emilio Cortes spruce top from Granada, Spain. Not a well-known builder but he was an apprentice in the shop of Rene Baarslag.
👏👏👏
Incredible Eric!
Thank you!
