I just happened upon your channel. I too have to do all the work myself. Both husband & son are disabled. I am interested in knowing how your started all of those cherry trees. Where sre you located? I am in NC. Might be interested in buying a couple based on price & location. Hope you will respond. You have a lot going on.
I just bought Cherry's from the grocery store saved the seeds and put them in the dirt and it took some time they went threw a winter then popped up the next year ok so just go get you some from the grocery store ok.im in VA ok

Hello! How much corn starch would you recommend adding? Would you make it in a slurry first and heat up the berry preserves again before adding to a pie crust? Or do I add the corn starch before canning in anticipation of using it for pie filling? I regularly have access to very ripe black berries, thinking about buying them and canning them, but I only have pint size jars.
They recommend you do not add cornstarch in canning and if you're making a pie with your filling about a teaspoon for pint and a tablespoon of it's a quart of you can use flour as a thickener also.
@@Pumpkins_lil_farm I have learned I need to follow these canning recipe's close. I knew about flour, but did not think about something like corn starch. Best to stay close with the tried and true recipe. Thank you very much for the answer. 🙂
