BMW R1200GS ADVENTURE final additions: PUIG windscreen and DoubleTake folding mirrors
Hi, everyone
In this video I will put the final touches ion the BMW R1200GS Adventure build.
I will add the Puig Racing Windscreen for BMW R1200GS/Adv and the Double Take folding mirrors.
The windscreen is similar with the Rally windscreen from BMW, but it flows air differently, drawing more air towards the rider and only costs half the price
The Double Take folding mirrors are a fantastic addition, different compared to OEM and are, virtually, indestructible.
Thanks for watching

BMW R1200GS Adventure BEST CYLINDER PROTECTION: Touratech and RICOCHET Off-road
มุมมอง 6K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Hi, everyone! After much research and many TH-cam reviews I concluded that the best protection for my BMW R1200GS / Adventure cylinders is a combination of strenght (Touratech reinforcement for BMW factory crash bars) and style/durability (Ricochet off-road guards). I really think this is the best combination on the market today to protect my BMW's boxer engine. Thanks for watching!

So, I went full-on wit a set of Touratech Radiator Gua...

Thanks for taking the time to make this video. There’s not much in the way of videos out there about the skid plate. Thanks.
Does this skid plate needs to be removed for service/oil change? Is the removal process much easier?
Hello and thanks for the very accurate and comprehensive video. With which supports did you put the gopro remote control ?
GOPRO OEM handlebar / seatpost / pole mount
Great video!
Thanks mate!
Thank you.😁
Touratech needs to update this one. The instructions are terrible and do not even show what to do with the zip ties. My 3rd grade daughter could do a better job illustrating where they should be placed.
No worries, I struggled with that too:)). Didn't use them, and 20k km later, the guards are still there. It seems that the Germans believe everyone is tech savvy or professionals. Maybe they should hire an average Joe, like me, to try to figure this out. Ikea probably does it...
@@gtmoto6265 I used them but who knows if I did in the manner intended lol.
Bonza review I've just ordered my double take mirrors for the GSA
Try pairing them with a short (rally) windscreen. with the original BMW screen they will interfere when the screen is on the lowest position and you'll have to position the mirrors towards the outside and low...
Very helpful. Thanks alot.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks, very usefull guide
Glad it was helpful!
so many thanks. I had been looking for this kind of video all day as I have the 719 reservoirs on my GSA and thought they would be a challenge. I'll see when I do all you did tomorrow. I have a supplementary question. I see you have a mount for your GoPro remote. Can you provide details please? I managed to lose mine on a recent tour and have been thinking of how to attach a new one safely.
I use the GoPro pole mount, it seems to be quite strong... careful with the placement, though, a place with lots of vibrations increase the chances of loosing the remote. I found the handlebar to be quite appropriate placement...
You know what is sad for a buyer, $30K BMW adventure 1200 GSA comes with junk plastic handguard...a $30K motorcycle plastic shit handguards...let that sink it, fuck you bmw for that one.
Where did you order the fog light covers from?
eBay. Chinese. Do not go for the cheapest, though, they seem to be quite fragile Aluminum is a good choice, not (stainless) steel...
what happens to the zip ties
I haven't found any use for them...
Great job showing installation...I totally forgot how vulnerable levers were...ordering a set for my GSA today...thanks again.
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching!
nice skid plate, except why they left the front open?
Probably they were not concerned about the engine block, but more for the headers. Thanks for watching!
Loooooooove the autocue
Show me one GS/GSA rider who never dropped his bike... If you didn't, then you're probably not trying hard enough:)
Was useful to warm up before installation on mine :)
Glad it helped!
how after a year is the screen working out for you? please where did you get your bark busters from
Ordered them from the US. I guess there are some stores in Germany, I believe I saw something online...
I use it only from late spring up to early fall, temperatures from 15-35 Celsius. At low speed it is really great, especially in the cities. At highway speeds (anything more than 100 kph/65 mph), there's a lot of buffeting, I guess it does not work great with the motorcycle's aerodynamics. If you are a bit taller, you will probably get cleaner air and you should be fine, but I am only 177 cm, and have a low seat on lowest position, thanks to my extra short legs:)
video clarity was awesome .....sound was awesome and content and explanation was awesome thank you....more please.
Thank you! Will do!
nice, where can I find them in Europe? I can´t find them in Germany :-(
You need a friend in USA or Australia... Sorry
did a little bit of research, here is a link. It seems there are some Barkbusters dealers in Germany, after all... barkbusters.net/where-to-buy/find-my-dealer/
Techspec recommends heating up the surfaces before application. Although nice Video, thank you!
I agree, the glue should be "activated". A year later, it seems that it works fine. Activation optional? :)
Why do you do 2 things at same time? You can install first the Touratech brace. Tighten everything. Then as a second video(step), install the Richochet without loosening the brace and guards. I appreciate your efforts but it can lead to a small confusion. Many thanks.
You are correct. Thanks for the comment!
Great video, very informative Thanks, what mounts are you using for the GoPro Remote?

Great !! I receive mine this week for my R1250GS, a question ... what is your GOPRO remote control installation on your handlebars? thank you
GoPro Handlebar/Seatpost/Pole Mount (All GoPro Cameras) - Official GoPro Mount. Enjoy!
Hi, how have they been working out for you? No interference with steering when locked (windshield/gas tank) ?
Thanks for watching. There is a little interference with the windscreen knob, it has to be in a certain position to avoid interference with the aluminum backbone of the barkbusters. Once the knob is in the correct position, no interference, whatsoever. It seems they came up with a better version for R1250GSA. Thanks for watching!
Thanks...
You're welcome!
Thanks for sharing, your video is awasome ! I have taked almost 3 hour due I remove Touratech Guard and install the new one Barbusters VPS
Glad it helped
Thanks for the video. It was really well recorded and to the point. I have an F850GSA and the setup should be pretty similar.
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for sharing. I have Barkbusters being delivered today and was wondering about the OE mount on the mirror stalk. Great to see it stays put. I’m ready to install.
Glad you found it useful! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for share!! 👍🏼👊🏻
You bet! Thanks for watching!
"Tilting the bike over".. Love it. I guess I've never dropped my gs off road. I just tilted it over a few times :)
You and me both!
