@@TheKozaBob Most impressive! I've really been enjoying this series so far. Has it been a continuous campaign? I'm only a few videos in, and I know some TH-camrs tend to start over with different Second Wave options and the like.

@@wombat8812 All continuous though there have been many times that I've wanted to restart due to making poor choices, I think that trying to overcome mistakes makes it all the more worthwhile in the end :)

@@wombat8812 It's been an age since I set up the game but I haven't changed much, options wise its mostly standard but I do like playing with Red Mist turned on, made a couple of changes in the .ini files, some cosmetic with the troops but after my break I changed the Arc Thrower, it now works our of a pistol slot and at pistol range. Finally, I upped civilian health from 3 to 5 as the aliens only ever miss them if the game glitches... seems a bit fairer. I do wish I had commanders choice on (I think thats what it's called) as it would be handy to be able to tailor soldiers to a particular class rather than hoping on luck. Good luck in your playthrough, Commander. Would you mind if I added your name to my Soldier pool? Always need more meat for the grinder :)

Can't remember how this plays out but I think I keep my squads a little closer together in more recent episodes. Can't believe I didn't take the 97% shot either haha

@@TheKozaBob That's a good strategy. It's ok that you didn't. Most of the deaths were out of pure luck on the aliens side.

It's a long series but hopefully I'll be able to come through with a positive conclusion for it. Thanks for watching, it really means alot :) Oh, I don't know if you are a solider or would like to be one but I can put you in if you like (at around episode #155 plus haha

Well as 'clean' as I do missions anyway :) Yeah probably won't speed up again, but I was very ponderous with my base management straight after a long mission and didn't want to draw it out further. Cheers for your opinion dude!

glad to be back! I'll have to work my way up to playing you, as you can tell in this video, I don't know all the abilities of the units yet. I've got the hunger now though :)

I have only played 1 MP butch 101 hrs In campaign. Don't even know every alien ability lol

just 2 games, 1 completely unplayable the other took 1 and a half hours... I'll be getting into it next week. going to try to finish the SP on Saturday/Sunday. May also try and drop in on some kiwi action... guessing I'll have lots to update in Arma though

GoatFetishBob nice! for kiwi stuff - just keep arma up to date and the mods through pw6. That's it. I can help make sure everything is ok through steam chat etc. Either way, nice to hear your voice again!

I like to maltreat my scouts :) also the chameleon / kestrel combo with FWG's natural defence definitely bailed me out!

+Mike Pols I think I'll look into getting the respirator implant for my assaults and snipers, probably a very good idea with their life expectancy these days! And I can't wait for Ageis armour... seems like an age since I started the elerium research which leads me to it. Cheers dude, glad you're still watching!

+Ike mart Yup there's a place for SHIV's in XCOM but I doubt I'll bring them out that often though, interesting insights on how I could use them though :)

Thanks and I understand why you wont use it too much. They are more emergency then anything. Another thought. if you bring three you have a mobile three way cover and an aid for getting assaults closer so they can shotgun away

+Ike mart yeah that mission could've gone EVEN WORSE. Had the rookie not missed his shot, I could've gone on the offensive and it would've been a different outcome :(

yeah. Just think, any one of those shots was no guarantee. scary stuff when you got that many aliens actually ssurrounding you
