new antenna on the umx ultrix test flight 6/7/24
had to put a new antenna on my umx ultrix today the old one fell off lol this one is onmuch better and should last longer works great have fun and go fly something

took out one of the best umx planes to fly in a small space the otter love this twin plane very fun to fly and jest have fun with have fun and go fly something (on landing the front wheel fell off lol not to bad but the landing was great)

great flight today with the apprentice stol today but on the landing the rudder control horn fell off and could not turn the plane to get it away from the bush lol no damage and i jest had to put the pop the horn back on the rudder lol but still a great flight have fun and go fly something

you fly very good!. it's not easy to fly between trees and that narrow area.
Really like these smaller rc planes. I bought a XK A800 glider to learn with which is about the same size as the UMX Radian. They are fun little planes. I love that you can fly this right at home :)
That is the one plane I did all my training with I loved it and now my daughter loves es it to it was fast and fun to fly
I had 2 buy 3 of them lol
@@gerardmazz ahh that’s awesome. Yeah it’s a great starter plane, so fun to fly. It helped me get experience.. now I also fly a Volantex Ranger 1600 with iNav which is another stable plane. I’ve recently kitted it out with FPV gear.
@@gerardmazz what’s good is that it’s a cheap plane. But with basic stabilisation.
Fun little plane. Big let down though if you break the propeller as you can't get hold of one from anywhere. Back order (out of stock) for many months now.
That is true but Amazon has 6x4 propellers that fit it that's what I'm using on the plane now it flies great with them

I'm not sure about flying this so close to traffic. You can easily startle a driver and cause an accident. I hope you have good insurance.. It is a nice little plane though

Well, you made my day and I got a big smile and grin out of it too. You did a great job of putting this plane together with the parts from the old turbo Timber. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🛩️🛩️🛩️ I really love the new turbo Apprentice stol, and I agree that flys great, you do a good job and are a very good pilot.

Don’t waste your money on the new xcub or the p51. They are toy grade. They are tough, they are both heavy and fly like crap compared to the Cub S.

I do put a camera on them I have a lot of videos doing fpv with the umx planes it is fun to do
It's a shock at first. I fly my drones 40 plus minutes but my micro plane gasses out at 7 minutes.

No I fly at 25mw on the transmitter
The transmitter has a power range of 25mw 50mw and 200mw I only use 25mw
I hope you're not flying out in the road with all that traffic. Will cause a accident for sure!!

On a windy day I fly it on safe mode and when there is no wind I fly it in as3x jest to stabilize the plane because she is way to lite in the wind

THIS is what this Plane design was meant to do. If you want a screaming stunt plane, there are better designs. But, this is relaxing..
Great video, I just ordered one this week! Very cool flying through the trees! I went through one last week at the slope, got lucky it fell to the ground with no damage lol
Excellent. I assume depending on the antenna is it added weight versus those wire type antenna's on certain aircraft ? Some of those UMX's are very sensitive on weight and some not so much
Weight is a problem on some of the umx planes the micro camera weight is 5 grams as is and when you put a pagoda antenna on it the weight is 10 grams that is not to bad and should be fine on most if not all the umx planes it's jest a pain in the butt to soldier the antenna to the camera lol the wire is at least 3 times the size of the antenna that is on it

I just purchased one of these, and it took me 3 trips to the field just to get it to take off, and even then I had to use a 4S pack. I'm extremely disappointed because I was expecting what I saw in the Motion RC demo video. Not too happy with Freewing right now. It's hard to believe that they don't know about this, yet they continue to sell the jet under what are false pretenses. Your mods to it are awesome, though. I'm glad you got it to fly well for you, but you shouldn't have had to do that when they tell you it'll fly great out of the box.
Same thing when I took out for the first flight it was 3s and it jest got up in the air and dident like it! So I made it a 12 blade 4s and now it flies great but I did mod the hell out of it
@@gerardmazz That's great that you were able to do that. I can as well, but I'd really rather not. Imagine if this was your first jet? I knew nothing at all when I started flying EDFs. If I had gotten this one for my first jet, I probably never would have flown another EDF jet! I'm just having a tough time with the fact that they must be aware of the problem and yet they are using that video to market it just to sell them. They're passing their poor decisions onto the consumer, and that just ain't right. They're losing more money on customers who will never buy from them again. Why not just fix the problem instead of simply passing the buck?

Great flying there Hey what transmitter and receiver are you using
I use a spektrum DX6 transmitter and the plane is a bind and fly to any spektrum transmitter
Sounds very smooth and like a solid build

Listen Larik, if you knew anything about flying RC you would know that you can loose control of that plane at any time. You give RC flyers a bad name. I would also point out that you need to work on your spelling!!!!

Looks rock solid, stability wise. Every time I consider getting one, they're sold out. Should be available again in August....hopefully. Enjoy!
