The title throwing me off
Like one of the best or ??
That’s up to the viewer kinda😂 if it’s the worst or best (it’s not lol) But you’re right it was a little confusing
1998… the year I was born 😭
It was obviously a good year since this gem came out🤣
12:22 that felt very House of the Dead! It's always sad to see these games never truly seeing the light of day.
Great video! Miraculously, TH-cam put your video into the home tab and I found it. Hope your channel reaches a bigger audience.
Thank you! Really appreciate it. Yeah sometimes the almighty algorithm does it’s thing ^^
next i want morrowind played on the atari lynx
Same. Lol
Did you play any Playstation games back in the day? Let me know in the comments!
Tekken 3, Bushido Blade, Grand Turismo, V-Rally and Driver. Also my dad made my play Alien Trilogy as a kid just to laugh at me bricking it lmao
@@karloftheozz All bangers! Played all of those except Bushido Blade. Haha I used to rent Alien Trilogy at the local game store
Thank you for a wonderful trip down the memory lane! Loved it🤗
Glad you liked it!
Better than ESO
Funny enough looks a bit like Elder Scrolls: Blades gameplay wise. with a Linear mission setup and a Hub base.
It does have some similarities there you’re right
Bruh this looks like daggerfall Unity lmao
16:14 "Speed is Great"
I didn't even notice that LOL
Just found your channel mate, never heard of this game! Ive subbed, keep it up :)
Looks like the combat would get boring very quickly but the environments look cool
I'm curious what kinds of magic and weapons there would've been in the full game as yes, in this build it's pretty much just button mashing
Holy shit - I thought Kevin Smith started a gaming channel
🤣
Man I woulda played the crap outta this if it came out when I was a kid. Was lucky to have a psp.
I know right! I got the PSP pretty late but if I had this back then I would've played it non stop
Algorithm algorithming
I kinda like the hub area they had in there
It’s an interesting feature yeah
Great vid. Gonna start following this right here…one of my og fav computer games was The Adventures of Willy Beamish. 🤙
Thanks! I had to look that up, seems like a good old Sierra game. I do miss those adventure games
Lovely trip through my childhood there. I would have picked some of the runners up myself, but this was solid.
So many good games through the years! What was some of your favorite games from your childhood?
@@JoeNordic Oh mna. Well I started on the MSX, with River Raid, Knightmare and Boulderdash and such.... BUt that wouldn't fit on this list. On PC, I was mostly into point & click adventure games, so you skipping all the Monkey Islands was sacrilegious. ;) Also had a strong RTS phase. It is indeed a shame they don't really make those anymore. My faves were Starcraft and Total Annihilation.
Now that's a cool machine I never had the chance to try out. Point & Click was a big part of my childhood as well. I hope the upcoming Broken Sword game will bring some of that magic back. haha yeah it was hard to choose which game to play but I did have 3 different Monkey Island games in mentions at least😆
Nice video! Wish you the best
Thank you!
Im with you there on Rise. World was my first, and I got excited for Rise and was very disappointed with how cartoony the game was, and I also hated the Chinese feel to the game (Just dont like their asthetics, I love old japanese samurai stuff, and arthurian legend stuff, but old chinese stuff I never liked). That feeling of not liking RIse compounded by the fact that they give it MY FAVORITE MONSTER I ALWAYS WANTED TO FIGHT. Thanks Valstrax, for abandoning me. I'm so excited for Wilds because it will be the first monster hunter experience I get to play alongside the release of the game, when I got to join World it was already almost 2 years into it's release and I was just playing catch up, this time will be different and I built a new PC with a 4080super to handle it. Here we go Hunters!
That’s exactly how I feel too bro, with the release of Wilds I mean. I also joined World pretty late in the release and now I’m so hyped to play Wilds, and to be able to join in on the live events! It’ll be running smooth as butter with that GPU for sure👌
You know that was low rank 1* content right? Sure I could solo all the monsters in the beta but that's expected 😂 Edit* saw the top pinned message; looking at mhgu and rise which both have extended combat; both are way harder than Iceborne by end game. I wouldn't worry about Wilds having more diverse combat because the end game will inevitably account for that.
I think so too. Excited to see what they throw at us🔥
Why does everyone have to dog on rise, which has far superior combat???? Geez ......
disregaurd bow players opinions 👍
Imo the frame generation requirement is because DRM is implemented, and DRM is that one app that takes up a lot of processing power to constantly check your files for anything that Denuvo deems "cheating". So I am sure that once they remove the Denuvo thing and do a quick optimization patch, the game will run MUCH smoother.
Maybe fatalis should have paid a visit during the beta 😂
😂
We are so used by getting thrown around by bad hitbox, that when the hitbox is good It feels easy
It looks too easy
Its not and its low rank
Tired of people saying "games woke" real issue is how safe games play these days thats not wokeness thats softness
Heavy bowgun always feels like god mode to me since world you could block everything. I'm curious if on release the focus mode will be nerfed somehow. We already have the ability to reposition our Greatsword hits with slinger shots in world and you can do this consecutively up to 20 times in a row with rock slinger ammo. The biggest issue I have had is the performance. However I'm sure they can buffer that out before launch.
That's true slinger burst was in many ways a precursor for focus mode. I'm also certain the performance will be ironed out. Hopefully before launch
The focus mode seems whack esp for GS. One of the most gratifying feelings was learning the monster to get that hit. It also set you apart from other people as well. I'm not sure every weapon needed the skill floor to be raised so high. I'd hate for it to turn into something more similar to rise
to be honest 3/4 monsters also easy to kill for me as if you where using high rank gear on lowrank monsters. only Thor-Magala was somewhat of a challenge but i still managed him with 2 carts and a weapon hadnt learned yet nor remembered the old controls on my 1st hunt against hm. could just be experience with how monster hunter works though.
bro fought 4 monsters in a beta test with sets that are number boosted and call it too easy... what happened to integrity...
Difficulty is hard to define here, especially as a experienced hunter. I was able to play it both with experienced players, aswell with 2 totally new comers, one of which chose charge blade as his first weapon. The new comers were killing chatacabra in about ten minutes. I think 15 minutes for a first newcomer kill would be better, but I also praise chatacabra as a first monster way more than jagras. Chatacabra moveset is well telegraphed, and his hitboxes are way better imo. Amazing monster to learn the game. Ray Dau was the wall for them. None did it solo, and they were often carting in multiplayer. As an experienced player, I really like ray dau fight. Good moveset, good hitboxes, and overall design. I think difficult is more on the side of world than rise, even a new player can go through rise initial monsters without sweating.
Very interesting to hear how the new players handled it, and I agree Chatacabra is an excellent starter monster. I'm looking forward to High/Master rank Rey Dau as I also really enjoyed that fight.
Agree , Dificulty is verry important in MH and I want base game even low rank to be hard not just endgame . And yes high risk high reword is mutch smaller in mh wilds. If you hit allways you never hit ...
Low rank has never been a challenge outside of maybe your first MH game and High rank typically only gets somewhat challenging midway through. Like I understand you but looking at it historically there is little reason why it will by different in Wilds.
@@chidori0117 MH 1 and 2 monster in low rank did 1/3 or sometime nearly 50% more damage . So no they were harder + hunter didnt have so manny loos hitboxes werw worst ect. And Tigrex in mh 2 is no different compare to 4u even then in 4U it was still litle bit cgalange in world also but in rise again monsters got % weaker in low rank and high rank . 1 time they sayd MH will be more accessible mh 3 happen still hard game but 1/3 easyer then world still litle bit hard but you restock and other things then it was Rise witch was wFF!&sgiDuc=g%au . So tell my why I should not be worryed about dificulty when devs sayd that Wilds will be most accessible game yet ?
@@JeronymKucera First of all I did not say you should not be worried I said low rank and high rank will be easy because they have always been easy. I started playing with freedom unite into portable third, tri, skipped fourth because it was mostly on 3DS and joined back with world. Outside of my first game (freedom unite) low rank and high rank were always easy, they were easy in portable 3rd, in tri and of course in world and they will be easy in Wilds as well. There is no reason to hope and have expectations that it will be hard in Wilds because it wont be and you either accept that now or not buy the game.
I will not accept it but I will still buy the game. I just want low rank to be harder then rise at least world level at least...
As a veteran hunter from 2nd gen Ill say it felt a bit too easy, but given that it was most likely Low Rank difficulty I'll reserve my judgment until February 28th. Also MonHun RIse Sunbreak felt more like old school MonHun which is why Inloved it more than I did Worldborne especially its endgame anomaly investigations are far superior than the grinding lands. You should give a second chance before Wilds releases.
Oh yeah the beta is most likely the very beginning of the game I agree. That's interesting you say that as I must be one of the few who actually liked the guiding lands but of course AFTER they adjusted the leveling. Rise/Sunbreak is downloading right now so I'm gonna try it again this evening
Strongly agree with most of this. Time will of course tell. I mostly love the new additions like seikrat and wound system and LOVE the offset attacks and counters but its vital that they balance the game properly around these things because if it all comes at the cost of challenge then its not a worthy trade off. You make the perfect example as to why the focus mode can take so much from the game if they haven't balanced the game properly around it. Hitting those perfectly timed greatsword hits should be a high risk high reward move. Making it a low risk high reward move is pushing monster hunter into the wrong more casual and less satisfying direction imo. Again...time will tell. Personally my biggest gripes with the beta were the lack of hit stop on many attacks especially with switch axe. I love the new moveset for switchaxe but many weapons feel like I am wielding a light saber cutting through butter. I want some resistance to FEEL the weight of my attacks like in other monster hunter games. That brief momentary frame stop on attacks gives the weapons that awesome meaty feel. I really want more of it. Some of the sound effects are weaker too in wilds. Compare many weapon sounds from world to wilds and most sound better in worlds imo. Overall still excited. Hope they take peoples feedback into account for full release.
Yes! I completely forgot about the hitstop, you are 100% correct in that weapons don't have as much "weight" to them. Overall, I’m really happy with what I’ve seen so far. If they can nail the balancing-focusing on designing monster movesets for example to scale the difficulty rather than just “more HP and more damage” -I think we have a winner
@JoeNordic 100 percent. Defintely excited. Will be jumping in day one. Timing is perfect too coz it lands on a week I have off work 😎
haha nice!
we were in f**king low rank
2:42
low rank in mh 1-2 was hard as MR in iceborn or sunbreak so stfup. AT last hopefully it will be hard as mh3 or mh4.
Not this again. We are coming from a Master/g rank, of course low/high rank Will feel easy
That’s why I specified, it’s not about the monsters themselves, it’s the addition of things like using the Seikret during combat and how they will balance that I’m curious about
Player are just afraid it will be easy as Rise whitch was matemathicky easyer if you have the same defense idk 100 Tigrex did less damage and have less helth then MH4 . Yes players get better but monsters got weaker.
Another banger of a video! I've sent you an email :)
Thank you!
Well-made video! You are also very easy to listen to, I hope you get more exposure on TH-cam 👍 On topic: I completely agree with your points, and I have started to act more deliberately when choosing what to spend money on and play. Personally, Stellar Blade absolutely blew my mind this year: Gorgeous graphics, engaging combat, sexy females and tons of great costumes to be collected BY PLAYING THE DAMN GAME.
Thank you appreciate it! Yes I can’t wait to play that game myself when it comes to PC hopefully soon! Heard a lot of good stuff about it and it looks amazing
It seems I should have been more clear-I don't mean the monsters are too easy to kill, I know it's low rank, I’m referring to the addition of Focus mode and the use of the Seikret during combat, and how those features can affect the difficulty and balance of the fights. My bad. also, I have allergies so excuse my red eyes lol
For your first video, this was pretty good man!
Thank you appreciate it!
this is all the info i wanted, even i that play MH games for over 10 years were overwhelmed by the hud,
It’s a lot yeah!
How did you drift?
While you are turning sharply you hold the stop button, Z on PC and I believe R2/RT on a controller
@JoeNordic Thanks! Nice video. Had no idea you could drift like in Rise and target/auto pickup items.
No problem and thank you!
I've learned more in this compact video than I have from other lengthier ones. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Damn only beta launch and this guy already uncovered the game's "secrets".
Being able to target items to pickup with the D-Pad is HUGE. I was trying to spin my camera all over while auto riding lol. Upvote just for that fact alone.
Ikr! I noticed by accident while trying to jump off the Seikret lol. Appreciate it!
Holy shit this is the most informative and easy-to-digest guide I've seen for this game! I hope, but I doubt, that MH Wilds has these details in its menus. MH is known for offloading this responsibility to 3rd-parties, which is disgraceful. If they continue to do that BS, I can count on you to fill in the blanks. Subscribed!
Thank you for the kind words! Yeah that's very true, even now I still discover random things in MH World I didn't know I could do
