where i can ordler this part?
Send me dm on Instagram I can get one sent to you if you’d like. I’ll beat everyone else’s pricing. @Shtbxgarage
Thanks. Got a 21 FX4 XLT 5.0 Job #2. Need to do this to mine. Appreciate it.
How long do you think this took, I’ve been wanting to remove air dam and valance but can’t find anything besides people cutting it. I would rather not cut.
Because it was my first time, roughly 3 hours, had I had a good idea of what to do ( watching this video) I’d say roughly 2-2.5 hours
Did that Impala seat bolt right in or did it take a lil help awesome truck by the way trying to do the same to my 97
They are z28 Camaro seats, just had to remove the brackets off the original truck seats and switch them over, not to involved
@@shtbxgarage thanks didn't know that was possible that helped me a lot best of luck with your project
Is that the 317 heads?
Yes
Sleeper build
Hi did your battery indicator to go out
What heads are you running
What valve springs did you go with?
What turbo manifold are you running
Way easier to pull the bed bud
A lot of ungloved action right there!
Whats the part number for the holley terminator on your s10 did u had to modify the harness or u gotta call holley to let them know your swap info on the truck?
Sounds good wanted to go with that cam on my s10 but went with a stage 3 Texas speed will see later.
I see a trend of S10, LS swaps online. What is the main purpose of swapping to LS? Doesn’t have better fuel economy than 4 cyl engine. Or just for a track truck?
2.2 and 5.3. Get same mpg and more reliable
I've always wanting to follow a LGBTQ+ auto mechanic!!! Thank god I've found you!!!
Ah...um...uh.. um.. Good video otherwise
Great video…..but I might be over thinking it…. what fans did you go with?
Where’d you get that bed cover from? I have a step side too and been looking for one of those.
Great sound. I have a 2001 s10 4 wheel drive. I found an LS1 5.7L. and want to put it in there. Will i lose my a.c.? My 4 wheel drive? I would truly love your opinion. Thanks.
I love the guys that are so proud of themselves when they cut a hole in the bed floor to do this.
Long tube headers?
My truck was tooken by races motherfuker so every time I see them build a truck it's like they took took it from a black person or something that's how they get all these parts and engines they disguises as cops
If you have round coils and brackets, they clear everything. I am lucky enough to have both round and square at my disposal. The round coils are actually moved in farther on the engine, plus the spark plug wire connection is down lower than the square coils. All good info, though. Also went with the CPW integration harness and feel it was worth the extra expense. Very close to getting mine started. I'm going to be using the stock 2 2 flex fuel, fuel pump for now, have a walbro 450 that I will replace it with later. The flex fuel pump should be enough for a mostly stock 5.3 though.
Sweet s10 bro Gotta start working on my 99 S10 zq8 stepside sport to take the 2.2 out and Drop a 5.3 LS! Thanks for the video !!
May i ask where did you purchase the harness and the price? Does it work with the 4.3 computer? And if the gauges are functional?
Current performance wiring, and yes it works with the 4.3 computer and it ties it into the Holley, the harness was around 350 dollars
You are correct, have not found a lot of detailed swap S10, your videos show things like spare tire bracket, evap canister etc that can be removed, thanks!
That’s the first time I have seen anyone build a header to turbo these trucks, great job!
What stage of cam?
truck norris cam is somewhere between a stage 3 and four I believe. But makes good torque as well
Dis u need a converter
@@carloperino2393dude, no Truck Norris cam is a torque cam, like a stage 1 at best. It’s like 212 on the intake.
Sounds nice! Would you mind sharing your tune? Just got a Terminator X and im running Truck Norris too!
Damn that sounds nice... what heads are those and what mufflers ?
Thank you! Sorry for the delayed reply. Factory heads and Amazon bullet style mufflers in 3in exhaust.
Do have good vacuum and power brakes with that cam
@internallycombusted1 of course you would. The cam isn't big at all
I was wanting to do a 350 tbi swap on my truck is this what I need to get gauges to work
It should make your gauges functional, I kind of see issues with making the AC system and coolant Fans work, but it might be pretty simple. I would call or Email Current performance.
Those turbo noises
Want to build 1 of these myself
Just found your channel, it's worth subscribing just because of the channel name 🤣🤣
I used ON3 turbo manifolds and a single 70mm turbo. It worked flawlessly and fitment was great. I would check with rhem to see if they have an S-10 LS swap manifold setup which they may.
I feel like the hardest thing to do is drilling out and running the oil return line from the turbo back to the oil pan. I did mine on my 2011 Silverado with the 4.8L and originally drilled and tapped the top rear of the passenger side of the oil pan and it wasnt correct even though that is what many have said to do upon research. So my tuner for tha ttruck actually drilled, tapped and inserted a 90° AN fitting into the timing cover and ran it that way which was obviously the best and most worry free way. Lol.
enjoy your S10 videos....have you done something to the dash it looks in real good shape my sons has been beaten from the sun and needs some help around the defrost vent any suggestions
Thank you! I’m going to be posting new videos soon. And I have not, I live in the northeast so I’m sure that’s helped a bit, but don’t let the camera fool you the dash is a little rough it could use a new one!
With TIG welding it's always push never pull. You want to push your TIG torch into your filler rod...
Thank you, I appreciate all the tips I can get I’ve been practicing and getting better but still have alot to learn!
@@shtbxgarage self taught myself how to Tig weld practice practice and more practice makes it easier. A lot of people who tig weld gets a big head about it I just get it done. In the last 3yrs I've caged 5 cars built 10 aluminum dump trucks. Good practice is fixing stuff for the neighbors lawns, rims ,ect. Look forward to the next video you put out keep up the good work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I feel your pain in putting the solid bushings in. I got one a quarter of the way in and gave up. That was until I heated the ends up with a torch, then the bushing just slide right in.
Lol yea I was tempted to go get a torch set for the house, that was a pain I never want to do again!
waiting on update with Quantum fuel pump. How is it working
Sorry I just send this comment, it’s working well so far. Currently adding a turbo to the truck so we will see how it handles the extra load.
So just a plug and play and start up. Then it tunes itself
It’ll get you started and it’ll adjust fuel trims a little bit, but it will still need to be tuned overall to get it running best. It basically gives you a start up tune to get it to a tuner or tune it yourself.
Go to KBD for the front valence. Cost around 220 with shipping and is polyurethane so it can take a better beating than the oem
Part number caltracs?
Just ordered my holley terminator x max for my 2000 5.3 truck norris swap. How's it run as far as that base tune? Have you had to tune some more or does it run good as it is?
I'm looking for the same answer
Just seeing this sorry for the late reply, it runs good enough to idle and move around but defiantly needed more tuning. It ran very rich and had no timing in it. The base file just gets it running and moving for you.
No problem. I ended up having my stock setup tuned. Holley had me on backorder for 4 months and just kept pushing it back
I'd do a remote mount for the turbo before I'd go without ac
I just bought a 99 model identical to yours minus stepside and a 2003 yukon. Damn I don't want to spend that money
I'm working on LS swapping my 94 dime. So far I'm under $2k for everything including the truck. 5.3/4l60e out of my donor Silverado. Also found a 8.5 rear end for it. Blazer front brakes and bucket seats from a Cavalier with a floor shift center console from a Jimmy. Still very much a work in progress. I'm trying to do it on a budget and not spend a ton of money on it.
Thanks for sharing
A Turbo! Bless you my child!
How did you wire the tach and speedo to work, using a signal converter?
