In this video I wire up MKS GEN 1.4 on the right side of the printer using XH 2.54 connectors everywhere, and ferrules for power connector. Ferrules crimping doesn't go as planned. Giving another go at assembling the Y axis, I tried to use M3 nut instead of M3 nyloc nut, for idler mount, which resulted in the nut stuck at a wrong angle in an idler mount. Does the heat soften the plastic
Yoi could have just flipped the plastic around the pins... Takes like 30 seconds and it would not mess with the cable at all.
For people watching this…. The easier way to do this is to mount the lens to the adapter and then mount the lens to the camera. Loosen those screws on the adapter but don’t take them off. Twist the lens until it’s in the proper orientation and then tighten the screws. I’m not saying that he is wrong because it did go back together. But I’d rather not disassemble the adapter unless it was necessary.

It is either an issue with flipped cables or screen is not enabled in Marlin.

can i use normal nema 17 instead of pancake motor on z axis ?
Yes, but a bit trickier as it is harder to align the axis, as the motors are taller than the motor supports and in that case you can't align and tighten the supports at the same time. 21:41 Try printing single support from Bear 2.1 and see if it fits, I looked at 2.1 model and it seem to be much longer than 2.0. If that doesn't work, you can measure the difference between the length of motor and support, print out a cuboid, (easy to design in openscad -- cube([width, length, height]) and then stick it under the support, tighten the support then slide in and bolt on the motors.

I have a L2, the main problem with this series of Canon camcorder was they used hundreds of micro capacitors that over time would fail and start leaking. I was fortunate 5 years ago to find a guy who was rebuilding the circuit boards and replacing the capacitors, sadly he passed away a few years ago.
I used him too, is there anyone else out there repairing these vintage cameras?
Louie Louie I don’t really have any other place to fix these boards. You would have to find a place that does surface mount device repair.

@@kb2qlq I’ve watched videos of guys reworking boards, they have to use video microscope to see the parts, these capacitors are the size of a pin head.
