I recommend U watch this movie, there is a version with English subtitles ;) The movie is based on a book by Henryk Sienkiewicz: "Ogniem i Mieczem" (With fire and Sword), and is one of the three books/movies (The Trilogy). The rest are: "Potop" (The Deluge) and "Pan Wołodyjowski" (Sir Wołodyjowski). Sienkiewcz wrote his books "Ku pokrzepieniu serc" (to comfort hearts) in the years 1884-1888, so in a time when Poland disappeared from the maps of Europe (from 1795 to 1918; 123years of partitions). Poland was divided between the Kingdom of Prussia, the Habsburg Monarchy (Austria), and the Russian Empire. There are Ukrainian actors in the movie, and when the movie had its premiere many women very much liked Bohun (he isn't necessarily evil, just has an unrequited love for the "woman with 2 braids") :D Plus he was an idol to the boys :D I personally prefer Jan Skrzetuski, so "the good guy".

Eh, it's nice to watch, but it was during the communism, when Poland was under Russian shoe. That's just Soviet propaganda, to show power, but the country was extremely poor, there was no freedom and the military existed just so Soviet Union could use it, even to invade other countries. Terrible times.

They military salute with two fingers. It is the only country on earth that does that and it has to do with they're history. Also they the only catholic country in the world that also had they're own Pope. Poland has suffered a lot in the past and was invaded by both the west and east. I am just happy they will not repeat the same mistake again. They're Millitary Defense budgget spent in GDP is 3.9%. keep it up Poland 💪
