Keep at it from what I understand it takes a while to build the channel but you will get there. I am documenting my sons F250 rebuild. Not old enough to call a restoration I don’t think lol. Would like to watch your progress

my only tip would be to install both bearings into the hub (with the spacer of course) then freeze the stub axle and heat up the bearings (I used a common room heater aimed at the hub for about 20 min until it was about 120f), then install the stub axle into both bearing at the same time. When I did this it went in with practically no effort more than just a hard push. This will minimize the stress on the inner races.
