Hey thanks for the message, yes I completely agree the entrance and exit to the test centre was designed by a novice to say the least, however you should be able to negotiate both. I recommend 1st gear in and out of that centre Always. in terms of distance - leave plenty of space at least 2 cars worth especially if you are following other in and out - remember everyone is on a test like you and nerves will destroy confidence. Such a cruel way to fail a test, I'm sorry to hear - unfortunately examiner decisions are final. Maybe you got too close to the gates or car perhaps??? Hey, thanks for the question, maybe others have had that in their minds too. So Dipped beams are lights we turn on for night time driving. The term dipped means that the light rays are lowered (dipped down) so that the light doesn't blind other road users. These are also becoming more automatic and will come on as soon as it get's dark. The MAIN (FULL) BEAMS (blue symbol in dashboard) these are for you to use when there are no street lights, in dark conditions etc. We don't drive with these on when there oncoming traffic as it can blind others. Usually the light stalk can be flicked and activated to go from dipped to MAIN (FULL) and back. The examiner can ask you to show them how you would turn on your full beams. But in order to do so you must turn on you dipped beams first. (Got to turn on lights, 1st before you go Max) From the DVSA website : www.gov.uk/government/publications/car-show-me-tell-me-vehicle-safety-questions/car-show-me-tell-me-vehicle-safety-questions 11.Tell me how you switch your headlight from dipped to main beam and explain how you’d know the main beam is on. @@rightdriveacademyofmotorin4483 if need any advice on these cars I'm willing to help out mate twin charger engines you got know these set if not turn to be disaster engine take it to good tuning VAG garage ask for DSG map and get pistons ring seals upgrade it's cost bout 600 pound if can fix engines save you lot money on buying New engine.

hahahaha surprisingly there are even worse test centres, its a shame DVSA cannot put tax payers money to better use.

Good question, yes pedestrian crossing lines are valid. so if someone is walking across you must stop. Be careful as its a hill. Candidates only need to worry when they are returning to the Test centre at the end of their test.

Hi. Welcome. Yes you can take private vehicles as long as it meets criteria set out by dvsa. Usual MOT, Tax and Insurance needs to be valid. Additional interior mirror for examiner and L plates on car. I would do the following too : Just make sure tyres are within tread and no cuts or bulges and inflated to recommended psi. Top up screenwash. Clean windows in and out for best visibilty and generally give car a clean. There are certain cars that cannot be used for test. Check out the link below for explanation by dvsa www.gov.uk/driving-test/using-your-own-car Note Changes: The 2 bays as you enter the Test Centre on the right are no longer used for tests. The examiners have changed this due to abuse by people turning up too early and getting those spots. They have placed cones in front. All other spots are still ok 👍🏽. All the best for your test. Sam

Yes good spot, my friend. This is telling you that somewhere in the car a bulb is blown or not working. Turn all the lights on from indicators to fog lights etc and head lights etc and see which are working and which are not. I don't think this car tells you which bulb is blown only that one (minimum - could be more than 1) has blown. Good hunting. :)

yep I sure did good spot. 👍🏽 Leaving it resting on curb might help when student leaves the car park. Remember there is no reversing done at this test centre for the test. This is purely to set the car and student up to begin. If you do leave it on curb be careful that the back of the car may touch barrier. So if your car has a big rear I would avoid. All the best.

Thank you for the feedback. Glad it helps. SO not always the examiners need to assess your eyesight and they can ask you to read the number plates on the fence or cars parked outside from the checking point which is by the pedestrian crossing area. Failure to read these plates will mean the examiner will take you at the back of the test centre get a measuring tape out and get you to write down what you can read. ( saw this happen last week ; ) If what you wrote down is correct then game on, however if you still cannot correctly get the number plates right then I'm afraid Test is Over.🤓🤓🤓 I encourage students to get their eyes tested regularly and wear spectacles etc if they need.🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓 Relax, do what you have to and go get that license. 😎😎😎😎😎😎 All the best for you test. Hey buddy, thanks for the like and comment - I'm glad it helped more useful videos on the way. I can't see an issue with using the Micra, as its a 2 door hatchback. As long as you have : legal - L plates Front and Back. Extra mirror for examiner (they have their own sometimes) and legal insurance. ( Note : Valid mot and tax too) You must have a accompanying driver which meets the legal rules etc. If you not sure read the following: www.gov.uk/driving-test/using-your-own-car. hi thanks for the comment and question. eyesight will be assessed b4 you go to your vehicle. Usually by you reading a number plate of a choice of the examiner. Failure to read correctly will mean test is abandoned 🤓. Accompanying drivers and instructors can come along and sit in the back of the car or wait at test centre. HI jasmine, good thanks hope you are well too. You are correct the test centres Sutton Coldfield, Wyndley and Streetly have all now closed. All examiners are located at this site and it is very very busy. Think about your test having a 20 min max radius and circle around the test centre. This is so that the examiner can get back in time for the next slot. So wont be very far out, just focus and breathe through and stay calm.
