Love this little game. Key is understanding thermal expansion, and gradually getting a feel for the power/load dynamics. It is crucial to get the insulation and flywheel upgrade before winter sets in, as the rotor creates resistance as the powergrid usage goes up. At the start get the psi up with 20-25 cc water. Set release pressure valve to just under 50 psi. Next get up to speed, full throttle and 96-98% reverser. When pressure is around the forties you should be able to remain on the sixth gear range until the grid load goes past 300kw. Once up to speed on the generator rotor reduce the reverser until you maintain a 700rpm with ease. Reduce throttle to 30% and bellow while compensating with the reverser to maintain rpm. And always be mindful of the expected powerload. On upgrading the boiler for the first time, fill it up to 35-55cc and blast that burner to get pressure up to running speed. A killer on engine efficency is the exhaust, to much steam in the cylinder produces resistance, managing the amount of steam that gets in isn't everything, making sure the spent steam gets out is too. The reverser and throttle (and steam heat and therefore pressure too) plays a huge role. Slow and chugging is the way to go, and after winter sets in and energy demand goes through the roof, go to fifth D drive and let engine rpm force you through!
I literally had no clue what I was doing… well I did, but it was difficult for me to learn. Last I remember playing this I was 100,000 dollars in debt and my boiler exploded. And I think I was at task 11 so… I mean I know tasks isn’t a good measurement of progress in the game but how else am I supposed to show it? Lol
do not add water all the time, and try to reduce the stove power to the minimum required to produce a sufficient amount of electricity
I find that if you don't keep adding water, the particle sediment in the tank increases the ppm which increases the grams...
@@Keese.O Some observations: I generally try to keep the water stable at a certain level, try to adjust your water feed so that the "trend" needle (the smaller one) for water level is neither positive nor negative, that indicates your water level is staying constant. Low gears and high reverser settings chug more vapor and thus more water so setting water feed to a stable position could stop working if you change any of those. Also try to set your relief valve with a higher headroom, that is something like ~30 psi below the maximum boiler pressure. If you don't big pressure swings like the one at 40:57 will overwhelm the relief valve and explode your boiler. To start your engine set the gearbox to neutral, throttle valve closed and build some pressure, spin your wheel with the starter and then open your throttle valve wide open. I think you might be going bankrupt because you don't optimize for lowest fuel consumption, this is achieved by setting your reverser as low as possible and your gears as high as possible.
@@guilldea I see what you mean, and I also see how I didn't set my pressure relief valve back correctly, and it exploded... this game is fun, but its not simple. And added I love playing games on difficult settings. But I like big learning curves. 😮💨

No, this was just a massive amount of ai units... like a ton... But this was years ago, and im sure that since Multithreading, I'd be able to run this same mission with no issue.
Hi, I’m considering on getting a RTX3070 with a AMD Ryzen 7-6800H laptop, will that be able to play dcs on high-medium settings for over 70fps? I heard this game wasn’t friendly on specs

haha, yeah i wanted to upload the hd version because i didn't like how i messed up the upload. It should now be playing in 1440p. But there is more gameplay on this video though.

The vid is definitely sharper. I'm so exited about CC2, it looks to be a beast of a multilayer game. Also If I was to hazard a guess at what killed you all at the end, I think it may of been your torpedoes?
