Don’t know much about this game, after this though I may just try it out.
I would recommend giving it a shot. Although it's a gatcha game, you can farm a significant amount of character pulling resources for free, so you can be decent in combat without even spending a single penny. The story is great, and the regular farming is not time consuming (10 mins a day at most). The community is not toxic and generally wholesome, and a lot of the English voice actors also actively engage with players/fans regularly through livestream and TH-cam with their own gameplay like this one. They also collab time to time.

I won all the pulls I did for Aventurine, got him to E2 and his Lightcone, while using Aventurine's line Dr. You're Huge. I don't think I've ever been this lucky🤣
