We first learned to drive and parallel park at the state fairgrounds - plenty of streets without the traffic. Dad would also take us out when it was raining or snowing so we could learn in a safer space how the car would slide / stop. Reagan, a little something to help you remember: "If the sky isn't blue, lights on so they see you." ie, if the sky is black, it's night, white/grey sky, it's raining, sleeting, snowing or foggy, green/grey sky, it's thurnderstorming, pink/orange sky, it's sunrise or sunset - all times when your headlights should be on. . How fun. I had to take my driver's test in an old 1970's Ford passenger van - that couldn't make a u-turn in a football field - LOL. Horrible turning radius. Using the mirrors is good to learn for larger vehicles.

I know I have told you that we love Halloween but I am not really into the spookyness as much as you are. I love vintage novelty of jack-o-lanterns and ghosts. I do decorate my home but not in spooky themes so much. I have pieced together a minitare haunted village similar to Dept. 56 for Christmas.
