Final Curtain
Based on a short story by Ashokamitran, the TV adaptation takes off from the skeletal idea of a playwright’s infatuation with the heroine, Maya, he has created, and her devotion to her lover Satya, who is destined to die in the play. Maya appears in the playwright’s study and a philosophical debate ensues peeling off layer after layer of his notions of himself.
