TWITTER: BigtexOutdoors Check us out on Facebook! pages/Big-Tex-Outdoors/479366365452590?ref=hl My review of the Browning 1911 22. It's pretty much a full sized 1911 just shrunk down. Great little shooter. Really fun. Kids really enjoy shooting it. Light recoil, and fits great in their hands. It's a little small for me. I got "slide bite" a few times. But overall I like...

    Great old gun. I love it.

    Any idea why the ejector moves like that? Wouldn't it work just as good if it was like every other ejector and it didn't move? Does it work as a safety of some kind? (Like a firing pin safety on a series 80 or something like that?)

    Hello , do you happen to know what pilot size for a 300 blackout on that universal trimmer ?

    • @supermotobuild774
      @supermotobuild774 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It should be the same as .223. the shell holders are the same because the case bottom is the same. It's just the length of the brass is shorter.

    • @pewpro941
      @pewpro941 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      pilot should be 30 cal since 300 blackout uses .308 projectiles.

    I'm a 1911 trained guy as well and the safety was very confusing. I would think that covering the F with the flipper would mean it's in battery, ready to fire. But NOPE. Have to expose the F to shoot it. Counterintuitive to my 1911. Had a fun time at the indoor gunstore and range when I first bought it. Thought there was something wrong with the firing pin. No strike mark on the primers....Had the owner come over and shoot it. Fortunately he's a lot smarter than me and figured that out. I felt like a real dork, but we all got a good laugh out of it eventually. Really accurate weapon, and recoil is minimal (compared to a .45?) and I'll keep this as a house gun, since a 380 is less likely to penetrate drywall, and endanger others in the house. When I carry outside the house, I have an Sig P365 for my primary weapon, and an extra mag.

    Thanks for this video. I just bought a P938 and wanted to learn how to break it down and put it back together correctly. The P938 videos didn’t show the correct orientation of the sear & ejector. He did it outside the view of his camera…that didn’t help.

    I carry mine without a problem, it all comes down to the holster and the carry position. I can’t find a good holster to appendix carry my 1911 but I have a decent appendix carry holster I can use for my P90.

    I love the fact that the safety actualy blocks the hammer/firing pin interface. This is a gun that you can really feel comfortable carrying w one in the chamber. That, and the ergonomic grip make it one i would really consider for carry..

    Got lucky and found one of these in a local shop complete in the case with all the original documentation and the test shell and inspector’s signature when it was manufactured. Love it’s balance and feel. As you said, the single rail magazine and limited ammo capacity is one drawback, the other for me is the safety is a bit of a pain. This gun is a good house protection weapon. Placed in a fast access safe for easy access, this gun will do the job well to stop an intruder. Beyond that as a carry piece, unless you intend to open carry it, it’s not a great piece to conceal unless you wear really baggy clothes and have room to stash it. Too big and bulky, but beyond that I fell in love with how the gun feels. Great video, thanks for posting this!

      It's really nice to see how simple these are. They work very much like countless other pocket guns. With them looking like 1911's, I thought they'd be unnecessarily complex like them also. I think simplicity is one of the most important aspects of designing a good firearm. People should also be able to work on their own firearms and not need a professional gunsmith for every problem. Like with Glocks, it's what makes them so popular.

  • @EliasGraves

    The best way to close the slide on the PK is to slam home a full mag. The slide will fall. I disagree with your comment on the accuracy. My experience has been quite good.

    I just bought a walther pk 380 pistol from a pawn shop brand new it cost me $499 and $10.00 for a background check I am very happy with the gun. I got it for self defense one thing I noticed about it when you disassemble it to clean it you have to be very careful with the spring you have to get the spring in right or the slide won't go back on me and my good friend tried to figured it out we will watch videos on it and it looked really simple then we looked at the spring it was not setting all the way down like it supposed to be I fixed it now my gun is clean and maintained and functioning again . On a personal note when you clean your walther pk 380 make sure that the spring is back in place. I love my little walther pk 380

    Wasted video. Assuming everyone watching this knows how to set collets use Allen wrenches to do it, adjust for length of cases .... come on man. Do a good review video, show ease of use. Show how to put the collet in and lock down the bit. Anyways .... you have three comments on this video. That tells you that you did it wrong. Winning channels keep it short and succinct but are fully informative. Good luck.

    Be careful, if the safety is a certain distance between fire and safety but you can see the “S” for safety, the hammer will stay back. In This situation I would not trust the decocker. Ride the hammer down with your hand and make sure the safety selector is fully on safety. Otherwise this is good video, I just wanted to point that out.

    • @alteregos8949
      @alteregos8949 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bought one of these yesterday and you’re absolutely 100% correct. After they get some age and use the safety gets a little wonky and you can possibly discharge the weapon very easily without meaning too by accident with the safety.

      Mech Tech has specs and measurements on their website. Most standard mil-spec lowers will attach properly. I’m guessing the dimensions of you double are non mil-spec and the slide on your lower might be too wide. Check their website. mechtechsys.com/store#Customize
