I have both an ATV/trailer and a farm tractor/trailer. Sometimes the ATV is better to use than the tractor. Here is a video that describes the pros and cons of using an ATV vs my tractor set up. Good luck with your endeavours. th-cam.com/video/J_hC_E4tis0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=u2sTgcGmBPMILB9b I lived in the Moncton area for 35 years but recently more or less moved to Cape Breton.
The LLBean boots can be covered with Dubbin or bees wax water proofing . as for the Canadian leather boots excellent boots. you can wear heavy wool socks and Baffin makes Golashes ? a Rubber pull over high boot that you can pull over the Canadian boots and they will stay dry till the cows come home . put shopping bags over you boots . then pull the rubber outer boots over top of the leather boots. then you can take the outer boot off way easier. trust me I wore them for years. buy the buckle one not the zipper. Baffin makes them in Ontario Canada I think. as for the Dunlop rubber boots they are excellent till you feet sweat , then you have to change your socks . tried the booties for the inside . can't move your toes . so they get cold.
@@bradbrown5659 I'll do a video on golashes / overboots sometime. I have several pair and tried all kinds of combinations trying to figure out an all season solution. I like the plastic bag idea given rubber golashes don't breathe anyway. I've heard of people wearing bags in their boots before but all these things prevent breathing and can soak your feet from sweat
Thank you for a detailed review. Have you tried wearing rubber boots with liner. There are models from -10 to -50 celsius on a market. Dunlop or Fubuki.
@@oleksandraverchenko9920 many times. We have a review on those also. Apologies for the video quality, at the time my 7 year old held the camera and we didn't know how to edit lol th-cam.com/video/5bqKOkhpNAY/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
@@fattonyd232 That was actually sweet. Also a modern but less rugged option for hiking would be Scarpa Kinesis or SL Active. Basically a leather boot with light rubber side cover. I would take those for a walk and high pulse activities, while pairing with rubber boots for stay or low pulse activities.
@oleksandraverchenko9920 thanks it's been great having my son involved with the channel. It was his suggestion at the start of covid. I'll check out your suggestions. I've owned two pair of Saucony razors that I really liked but couldn't stand up to the abrasive nature of logging activities
And a Happy New Year!
@@spencertaweel happy new year! Hard to believe it's 2025. There was a time I pictured it as the distant future
Great video!
@@James-Johnson313 thank you, I appreciate the feedback. Happy new years!
I see your video is around 2 years old, and understand that your government has not yet banded them. In the USA, since the Clinton Administration banned their import they are getting scarcer and more high priced. I managed to by myself one this month, a Chinese Norinco import, which is not as collectible as the Russian version, but just as practical, we are not limited to 5 rounds, so I have 10 round clips, great for home protection, bugout/bugin scenario, and SHTF protection. I am too old to get serious about hunting, except for small game, and have a couple of Marlin Model 60s .22LR semi auto rifles for hunting, and a shotgun for birds on the wing. For the price and given the possible scenarios, I prefer the SKS to any other rifle available. Not into collecting, into security and using. Thanks for your video, and Your doggo is fantastic, I had a full sized collie at one time, a beautiful and smart dog.

Dose it dry fast
@@xix94 I wouldn't say fast. Some waterproof fabrics make you damp from sweat from the inside. Ventile vents really well, is tough, silent and keeps out wind and rain to an extent. If you did get really wet though it may not dry out fast. Wet weather followed by cold weather would likely be the worst conditions for ventile.
I’ve worn my double ventile “Country Innovations” smock on the Cairngorms plateau here in Scotland in freezing, icy rain and 70mph winds. It stiffens up to keep the rain out, but the jacket itself becomes quite hard and feels very cold to the touch in these conditions. Thank goodness for a thick Devold “Amundsen” Norwegian, woollen jumper worn underneath - probably saved my life that day and is a winning combination for harsh winter weather.
Your dog approves of it as well.
@@ventilator2999 and here I thought he just enjoyed being out in nature! Must be the kel tec 😁
I think this was just banned today. It’s listed as the Type 97A sniper rifle…
Why would you compare these 2?? Different monsters.
@@williamjordhamo1593 comparison: a consideration or estimate of the similarities or dissimilarities between two things
Well we know how cold steel quality is nowadays. I'll go with the spydy better quality and better all-around knife.
@@hammer1794 yeah I never question spyderco quality. Very consistent company. Cold steel is more of a crap shoot but they make fun knives and sometimes nail it
I would have added your first feeder at the bottom so the feed is in a controlled area, a great source of ingenuity though. Great video.
@@MckeefnyFarm thanks and it definitely needs a tray at the hole in the bottom or the pigs turn the ground into a mess wherever the feed lands
@fattonyd232 your welcome. Happy thanksgiving 🦃🍽️
@MckeefnyFarm happy thanksgiving Americans!
What about the Eastern Massasauga rattlesnake. This is Ontario's only venomous snake. Despite its fearsome reputation, the massasauga rattlesnake is shy and docile, and avoids human contact whenever possible. If threatened, the species is most likely to rattle or retreat under cover.
@@REDBEARD5252 I'm in New Brunswick and not aware of anything poisonous here or in Nova Scotia / PEI but you might be right about Ontario
@fattonyd232 They're on the endangered species list.
It's truly amazing what two pigs can do! That's still a lot of hard work with hand tools, but worth it in the long run!
It would be impossible without the pigs to break up ground like this. They got me 90% of the way there so I'll put in the few days landscaping labour to get it finished and hope next spring things grow!
Do you want to know where the "piggy bank" originated? You could buy a piglet in the spring. Feed it a little scraps every day.. Then you could "BANK" on having food to get through the winter. I tapped the thumbs up button to feed the algorithm monsters.

Can you put a roof rack for drywall on top of the roof ?
@@daybydaygrind9985my understanding is that there was a roof rack made compatible for it and that's what you'd have to find as most racks are not compatible. I think the ford dealer here looked it up for me

@@thedude5599 thats every video we do! lol I think there's little interest in hands on forestry work, or forests in general. It's no wonder they're managed so poorly
Only corrupt governments are afraid of armed citizens ...
10/21/24 Nine months and no comments after 1,000+ views? Wow! Ok, you didn't mention that both of your firearms can shoot either .22 long rifle or .22 WMR (magnum) ammunition via interchangeable cylinders. Those blue mesh items in the cases were extra cylinders. I would guess, by the vigorous recoil, that you were shooting .22magnum ammo, but those are not magnum casings in front of the gun cases.
@@cozyafloatisme I'm surprised I forgot that too. Not surprised about the lack of comments. I have to thank the gun community though as they're the most supportive group who engage with the channel in terms of subscribers. Happy New Year!!
I have gen 1 with ftu and the lhg. Awesome rifle. Ive had over 3000 rds of 5.56 62gr through it. Absolutely no problems. Mag release is easy to get used to and the LHG relocates the safety to the right thumb position. Plus 10 rdn pistol maga work great

It's not a trench knife without the handguard/knuckleduster. Coincidentally, the CS Chaos Double Edge uses the same blade profile as this knife.
@@Sombody123 incorrect sir. The Brits used the Fairbairn Sykes dagger as their trench knife and many just improvised whatever they could sharpen or club with. Daggers are for combat
@@fattonyd232 Any knife can be a knife for the trenches, but when referring to trench knives as a *knife type* in particular, then it's the one with the handguard.
@@Sombody123 I use the term in reference to its practical application. A large dagger is a bit much to carry for self defence these days so it's likely use would be close quarters combat like a trench in ukraine

If you put a 45 degree offset rail piece you can install a dot sight out near the muzzle and improve your accuracy 100% and still fold the carbine. You only have to twist the weapon 25% to the left for a right hand shooter..
Back in the 90s, exporting titanium ingots was prohibited in Russia, but exporting goods manufactured from titanium was fine and dandy. This funky product was a tool to exploit that loophole. By the way, it has absolutely nothing to do with spetsnaz.
OINK...!
Super reliable rifle for myself and my wife. Both of us see no problem with sight picture on factory sights and the rifle is very accurate. Easy target acquisition. You only need to learn to git gud with peep sights. Love the Cape Breton accent 👍🏻🍻

Adorable!
I thought Justine Trudeau had essentially locked down 95% of all private gun ownership??
First off, its refreshing to see a how to video using only the tools most would have laying around in the garage. So many videos display themselves as easy and cheap but its not so cheap when youve gotta rent a 400$ tool lol That said, watching you cut with that saw made me queasy. Im big on saving money, best way to convince my husband of any diy project is to do it as cheaply as possible even if that means doing alot more work. Youre only as good as your tools are. Basic tools usually produce enough Return on Investment to warrant the initial cost.
So Cold Steel Kukri Plus is the Winner 🏆 because a safe queen is a jewel not a tool. 👍
