I’m trying this now and hopefully it works. The ice bin is frozen so I can’t put a towel in there but I’ll just have to clean up water if it helps I don’t mind. Thanks Chase!

Thank you! My ice maker is in defrost mode now. I called Samsung, the lady said unplug and defrost the whole refrigerator for 24 hours. Then another one had me press the fridge temp to see what the temp was. It was at 45 degrees. She said leave it for six hours, then it should defrost, if not call back. I can't get the ice bin out, it is frozen. I followed your instructions and have a lovely beeping sound as it defrosts. Thanks again!

Forced Defrost can take up to 2 days to melt all the ice on the icemaker, so be sure to make arrangements for all of your food inside the fridge.
