When tesring pH, you should make a solution of the product. Your product was too thick for pH testing, possibly that's it was giving you a headache.

I’m not sure if you’re new and you may have limited budget however, if you’re going to use buckets, they should to be BPA free. I would suggest using food grade buckets because this is cosmetics that’s going on people’s skin. Using these cheap buckets and utensils have a lot of chemicals in it and it does seep into your ingredients which now intern is going to get into your customers skin. Dollar store metals, which is not stainless steel is poisonous. In order to sanitize you need to wash your products with hot soapy water first then you should be using bleach. The only time you should be using alcohol is right before you’re going to remove any particles that attached itself to it before using them.

Plastic containers can cause static - some ingredients dont mix well with static. Check the msds just to be sure. Blessings

I love your content! For the formulation videos, i would recommend being more vague on qty/recipes and use YT membership or Patreon to share the recipes/formulas at a fee. Or just straight up sell them. You worked hard on them, don't just give them away.
