REVIEW: Bilt Hard 16” 42cc Chainsaw with Muffler Mod
This saw was $99 and it rips. It was a decent saw before the mod but was super duper after the muffler was opened up.

Did you do any porting or any other engine mods when you did this muffler mod?
am i high? or is this just a ton of random stuff
Not sure. Could be!
Cool!
Thanks!
👏
Thanks!
What is the point of plugging the valve? Only thing I can think of is if the valve breaks or gets stuck open.
They are prone to air leaks
"Found a snake, found a snake, found a snake, found a snake"
Hahah!
Nice job . When people look at things like this they literally think a machine made it they don't understand that most of these things are made by hand
Thanks! Yep, sometimes hand made is the only way!
Looks amazing and this might be a silly question, but why not paint the Ventilator as well?
They have a ceramic coating. Not only will the paint not stick to it, it will inevitably burn off. They can get up to 2000 degrees.
Awesome dude! You and I would get along real well. Ima havta learn me some Wayne Hancock.
Hell yeah!
It's a manly tool.
Any recommendations on schools I could enroll in. I want to learn how to keep my equipment goin.
I’m not sure man. TH-cam University is always good. I got this saw for free so I’m gonna rebuild it to learn how.
I have one of these, still running good! I should cut some wood with it soon
That’s awesome! I think someone ran this one without oil.
Very cool fix! I had gotten a Husqvarna 272XP from the garbage the piston was seized I guess the owner used straight gas. I was able to free the piston honed the cylinder with a brake caliper honer lightly sanded the scuffs out of the piston installed new cylinder ring. Works again and has plenty of compression.
Nice!
A lot of people aren't aware you can't change the exhaust back pressure significantly without risking trashing a piston in short order. Guessing messing withe the baffle for more power trashed the rest.
There was no baffle in this muffler.
@@MackieBoles Right, kind of my point. I only share cause I've seen it happen to a 2 stroke motorcycle where the baffle was removed. Burned a nice round hole in the piston.
It's "husk-varna" not, "huska" lol.
Thank you for the clarification
Nice work on the 350xp
Thanks!
Hang on a damn minute you can just use the words greatest rattle can shaker like it’s nothing and not mention it. Wtf was that? Did you make it? Did you buy it? Where can I get one? Nice mod to the saw by the way.
