Can too much cocoa make it a dark red? I think thats what made my cake dark red. Another recipe called for 2 teaspoon of cocoa, and you used one!

I watched another video about making caramel and it looked like they put a small amount in the pot first... With your measurement of 1.5 Cups, I'm going to add a half cup first and when that liquifies, I will then add the remaining cup which I'm thinking will incorporate and melt much faster... At least I hope so! That cake, though 😍

After reviewing tons of yellow cake recipes on TH-cam to bake for my mom‘s birthday, I decided to test this recipe out. I was pleasantly pleased with the outcome. I even mistakenly added two sticks of butter for the cake batter😂, and it still turned out moist and delicious. The only thing I did differently was to add pecans on half of the cake (middle and top layer) and both sides were delicious! Thank you for a great recipe!
