Some impressions of Ironman Mont-Tremblant 2019, following bib number 1613 from start to finish. This was my very first long distance triathlon and I enjoyed most of it a lot. Crossing that finish line after 12h06min was such a blast. The atmosphere in Mont-Tremblant is amazing - if you ever consider running an Ironman, do it there.

Ottawa in 2019 all winter long, heavy machinery was used to remove tons and tons of snow all across town. Seems to be a normal thing here, but extremely weird to watch for someone who did not grow up here...

Solving the Rubik's Cube while skydiving (boat jump)
Just finished. Looking forward to doing longer segments at a time later in my training. THANK YOU for risking your life doing this! Close calls and intense traffic toward the end. If anyone else is reading this, this guy could have just done one loop and said, "Rinse and repeat," but no, he did all the loops like a a bad***!
Continuing to love this video. Did another hour segment today. Appreciating the tidbits and trivia along the way. It's not going to happen, but it inspires me to want to move there! Ha! One of your posts noted the course is about 8km short. Have you heard rumors about this being adjusted to hit the full 112 miles? Thanks again. Oh! I'll be digging more into your website/blog too. 👍
@@Trisam100 there may be some changes to the course once race day comes closer. The turnaround could potentially moved a bit further out, or T2 be on a location different then Parliament Hill. I hope they‘ll make it closer to 112m!
Thank you VERY much for doing this. I'm currently only 20K in, but I'm enjoying "our ride together". I've been nervous for "us" a few times with close-ish calls with traffic. :) I noticed your several mentions of roads being closed on the weekends, which I love this idea, but I hope having never been to Ottawa that I am able to find my way around. Again, thank you very much for doing this. I envision myself visiting multiple times for segments and at least one full ride. *Appreciation!
Ottawa is relatively easy to get around by bicycle. When you visit, definitely take advantage of the weekend mornings and closed parkways. It's quite enjoyable and you'll see many other cyclists. If you need gps files for the route, I put together a site of IM Ottawa resources on my blog: followfichte.com/ironman-ottawa-2025-preparations/
This is really awesome and will be very useful this winter on my bike trainer. Thanks! I'm curious: what is your average speed (on the video)?
My overall average speed was 30.0km/h (18.6mph). I was riding a gravel bike on 42mm tires and no aero bars, so not the fastest setup. You'll find the related Strava activity here: www.strava.com/activities/12784441905
This is great! Thanks for sharing. Will you be uploading your ride on Fulgaz or Rouvy?
Should be on FulGaz already (but without the additional information snippets, and only the first 1.75 loops)
Thank you :)!

Merci Ludevig such a many cars to will close such a road ? Thank for to make run marathon route ?
Yes, the parkways will be closed for cars during Ironman! In fact, most of them are actually closed to cars during the summer weekends, too. I'll probably post a video of the marathon route soon, too.
@@KleinerLudewig thank my friend. hope will not run just for to video 😅
You showed massive improvement in these jumps. Excellent job! Looks like you had a great coach, and that you listened to their corrections. Fantastic!
Thanks for commenting :) I haven't been skydiving in so many years now, I probably unlearned most of it.

Was a chilcare/youth worker with both nish and non and when it was time to relax and end the day I would play this beautiful sound and all would respond positively.

Nothing is more powerful than singing with Your brothers and letting out all your emotions. I would sing and scream my warrior call during sweats with Elder whitebear and others

Wow 🤩 Powerfull ❤
This is called spirituality in music, grounding yourself, finding your true self, finding peace - love - compassion. Drum was teached during Atlantis and the Native Americans are more close to powerful ancestors known during this time than everyone else. So, keep this traditions going on forever, keep spreading in 2023 this music, this sharing, we need it and we will need it.
That is really something!
Great job ! :)
very motivating and inspiring in a sense for my self personally, I want to be more connected and involved in my culture as I was before foster care. I had a lot of connection to who I was before that. Ojibwe. Thank you 💙

Can you get your heart to do a different rhythm other than this monotonous repeating boom, boom, boom?
@@rolandherenow3134 Well, the heart has a different rhythm. It's more of a shuffle sound: Ta-Dum, ta-dum, ta-dum.
@@thetonys sorry to necro, but to answer your question. The reason it’s this rhythm is to represent the heart beat of our Mother Earth. Hope this helps :)

It's been my first IM, but I was impressed by the atmosphere all along the course. Great organization, amazing volunteers. Without having a lot to compare it with I'd say, IMMT is probably one of the best races out there.
