As an avid lanegan vinyl collector and proud owner of all the live LPs both he and rough trade released I can honestly say this is absolutely up there with his best releases. The set list is so diverse than a lot of his others and really showcases his range. I agree with one of the previous comments that penthouse high does deserve more releases. I have not kept up with Marks music much after Gargoyle and was not expecting this when I went to listen to this. First, it's a nice mix of old deeper cuts and stuff I really didn't know, but wow it is fresh. Love it. His singing voice sounds tar superior to his speaking voice which is way rough. He sounds so good and the band...whoa. I guess I have more to listen to. This is a great recording.

Normally I couldn't care less when musicians I like die as they've usually not made any decent music for years by that point and everyone gotta die sometime, but damn, we lost this legend way too early.

My goodness, I saw the Trees playing Gospel Plow in Paradiso Amsterdam in 96 and this vocal performance 23 years later knocks it out of the park bigtime.😮

Magnificent! Thanks for putting this up. (And don't fret the quality, we're just hearing Mark with the same experience he had all those years ago as a kid listening to records with a record player that was likely pretty basic and trashy sounding.)
