A van is a social life upgrade. If you have one you have something to haul things in, and in a pinch something to live/party in. If you have this, you add value to your place in your family, a circle of friends, a band, someone who needs to move to a new place, a group of people who want to travel somewhere together etc.
We totally agree!
Hey! NV200s are awesome little micro cargovans. Word to the wise: Change the CVT fluid every 30K miles to ensure your transmission's longevity, durability and to keep it running smoothly. CVT fluid is extremely easy to change (I've done CVT fluid exchanges myself for the past 6 years), but take it to a Nissan dealer for best service. I've owned several Nissans with CVTs and absolutely love them!
We have our trusty Nissan Dealer right down the road! Thanks so much for the tip. We want this little van to last for a while so it is duly noted! 👏😊
Yayyy! Sunshine is goooood for you! 😊🎉
I felt great! We’re getting spoiled…more today!
That place is calling me so you have to take me there next time I visit ❤
We sure can! 😊 if it’s not raining…heheheh.
I was a bit confused as to why you would give the AC180 a lower 8.5/10 rating because of a purely optional accessory, the PV120. Also, you could serially connect additional solar panels to the PV120 to achieve the AC180 maximum solar input of 500W at 10A and with a range of 12 to 60V. Finally, Bluetti markets the Charger 1 accessory which can be installed in a vehicle and give a complete DC charge to the AC180 in two hours or less as opposed to a connection directly to a vehicle's battery requiring triple (or more) the time. (Just an FYI.)
@@franzbibfeldt thanks for that! We rated it solely based on our experience. I wish that there was better information available at the time but maybe I’m rating my incompetence just a bit? Hahaha. 😆 But it is super heavy!
I too have a NV200. We use it to explore. Sleeps 2 Adults, 1 Dog. We have taken it on some of the roughest roads in Colorado... We put one of those wire racks across the back. Fits perfectly and allows us to keep the floor clear. We use an ecoflow to provide power on the go. Sometimes we go light, sometimes we have a microwave, toaster, coffee maker and induction cooker so that we can cook anywhere... propane and electric heat to stay warm and safe... Cheers
@@SpidersBlock sweet! I just checked out one of your videos! We want to upgrade to induction, suggestions? Happy with yours?
@@TheWeekenderVan We bought a cheap one you might find just about any place that sells home goods, works great and is safe. Key to everything that we need power for is the EcoFlow DELTA Pro battery powered generator. Alternatively, we use the grill plate sitting under the induction cooker... heated with a small propane heater from underneath. We are heading to the Collegiate Peaks next trip. FYI, we can stay warm at night using our heated blankets at temperatures near freezing. For temperatures lower that freezing, we usually employ the little buddy propane heater, distribute the heat with a fan. Van has a carbon monoxide detector. Cheers
@ sounds like you have everything covered. We love our power station as well, but we need to utilize it more. Thanks!🙏
I just got one yesterday from Amazon for 450.
@@robertmason7553 Niiiice! You definitely wont be disappointed for that price! 👏
@@TheWeekenderVan Now I have to find a place to put it. I have a GMC terrain that I want to camp in. Not ideal but if my scared of everything wife comes then Im in a pinch. Just me im fine.
@ we use ours as a power backup just in case. And it can also be a charging hub. So many uses.
Thanks for all the great NV200 camper van content! I would love to know more info on this (i.e. custom drawer measurements, approx insurance cost, etc) as I plan to do something similar with some added features!
@@dragon7ryu awww thanks so much for the comment and thanks for watching. We didn’t document much and actually misplaced or threw away our sketches and plans. We will search around or redo them with our changes (there have been a lot!) and get back to you. Cheers!
@TheWeekenderVan sounds great! Love that you prioritized the bed space, with sliding drawer kitchen and storage!
@@dragon7ryu yes! Dee is over 6’3” so we needed the length for sleeping and we didn’t want to cook inside the van. Plus, storage is always good too! More on the way. 😊
Do you have a link to these lights?
We actually went into a physical store for once when we bought them and they are only available in store at Canadian Tire. They are called the “In Living 23 ft 100 bulb white indoor string lights”. $19.99

I’d like to see how the bed folds/slides into bench mode, so you can sit in back and access the cubbies (fridge etc). Thanks!
@@altawalker29 hi there! Thanks so much for your comment. This little Van has gone through an evolution in the short time we’ve had it. Originally, we DID have the 2 bench seats that connected with our table. But after about 6 weeks we realized that we didn’t like sitting inside the van and it was a bit too cramped for me (I’m 6’3”). So we made the table pull out the back and made the queen sized bed permanent. It stays kind of a half bed so we can change and lounge then we pop in a piece of wood, throw our bedding and mattress cover over and it’s a bed! T will be making a short very soon on how the bed switches!!
Does it function with the B230 or b300?
@@thebuddha4208 hey there! Yes. The AC180 can now work with the B230 or B300 battery pack. All you need is the P090D to DC7909 cable, and you're good to go! Thanks.

Hey guys! How much did this build cost? How much was the base vehicle and how much was the conversion?
Thanks for the question! The base cost of the van was $25,000, the conversion we did ourselves, supplies were about $1500 and then we added power and kitchen gadgets - $1500 and all the other stuff (bedding, decor, camp gear, tail veil) was about another $1000. $29,000 all in.
