    Oh and I forgot to add that the company is based I think in Canada and there was like an $18 fee on my charge for canadian currency, which I did not appreciate after incurring a near $500 charge for the blanket. They really should get a USA setup if they are going to sell in the states!

    I bought this about 1.5 years ago and was surprised that it is quite a workout! The first thing I didn't like was the way the cords are attached to each other, one being too short so you have to deal with your outlets. The second is storage. I have a tiny house and there is no convenient place for it. To protect it I use a quilt which I lay it on and then roll up the quilt and store it next to my bed because too hard to shimmy into the bag. I don't like having to towel it out afterwards but then again nice to see the moisture which must contain lots of toxins, and use a bacterial wipe and then towel it out. I am a cold constitution so would never do hot/cold therapy. I'm not sorry I bought it I just wish I could be motivated to use more often as it is a bit of a hassle to unfold/clean/refold and stash. I do think it's wonderful and hope I can get more motivated to use more often. You did a great job presenting here, thanx for your dedicated evaluation. I agree with the zipper side temp loss, didn't think to turn it under, helpful. Nor did I ever think to use open face, I do use a heating pad and love that experience. My problem is my cats tear things up and I worry they will claw it if I don't stash it safely. Blessings!

    Love the real talk. I totally feel the "all or nothing" mentality sometimes. Working in commercial real estate I have gone out for events and have certainly spiraled when on diets after "cheating". Eric being my accountability-buddy has really helped me at least keep moving and consistent!! I also had no fitness in my house as a kid and I agree it makes a huge difference; making it fun and normal and not a chore is a real key.

    I like the desk size little gun, very nice. My calves are also super tight always, perhaps it would be worth adding some gun into my routine. Nice work on the editing, shortens up the chat to keep on point, but was very smooth 👍👍

      We were definitely impressed with the gun :) Editor: Thanks, I put in extra work to remove dead air as well as try and cut extra uhhs and umms. I think it really made a difference in boosting the quality.

    Analysis Paralysis is a huge struggle in my industry. Essentially every program could be written in millions of different ways, and only a handful are good. Some people get so bogged down on the analysis to find a best solution that they end up not even starting. For my fitness journey I've been trying to fix some of the analysis paralysis into fixing things in my lifestyle. "I need to drink 16 glasses of water" feels so monumental of a struggle compared to where I am, but "Every morning before work I need to pour and drink a glass of water" is helping me. I just need to find little things I can do rather than get bogged down by how much I need to do to get going in the right direction.

    Pro intermittent faster here /// as a celiac with a wildly damaged gut, nothing has felt better for my body than giving myself a 16 hr window to allow my body to finish digesting and then move onto ‘healing’. It’s been a game changer for me because even now I will go to bed with a stomach ache if I eat anything within 4 hours of going to bed. I’ve never looked at intermittent fasting as a weight loss tool BUT I have found that it made me more focused on what I was eating because I want to get in all my nutrients within my 8 hours feeding window. For me it’s 100% about health, healing, energy and performing at my best - but i legit put myself

      Yeah to many people view it has reducing calories but there are so many more benefits 👌 people eating every 2 hours and snacking all day/night is really affecting the guys health to process/full clean 🧼🤯😱

    • @coachcurt
      @coachcurt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would fall in the category of a great idea for you with all the reasons listed. Intermittent fasting makes great sense in a variety of realms and used well is very valuable.

    This is super relevant - I think everyone who has had a serious injury can relate to the sudden "I can't do anything then" state of mind. After my surgery, it was hard to get moving again, but once I did, man what a difference it made, both physically and mentally.

    I liked the part where you mentioned that we are too hard on ourselves when things aren't perfect - I use to quit the moment I had a misstep (eating badly), but now I recognize that life isn't perfect and 1 bad day doesn't mean I should quit. This probably significantly changed my mind set and helped me developed better habits. But it's a good reminder to focus on our intentions with the whys and the hows - especially with setting up intentions with going to the gym and pushing yourself to lift heavier or work a bit harder. Thanks for the insight!

  • @1waylane
    @1waylane 2 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @brynessaszassegames
    @brynessaszassegames 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I certainly used to struggle with an all-or-nothing mindset. But "tiny habits" have helped turn the 1 day every other week I felt I could get in, to pretty consistent weekly 3 days per week. Progress has been ongoing, slow and steady; and having a coach to note the progress is totally a big deal!

    Very informative, thanks for sharing with us more about MS! I always love to hear about people's backgrounds so it was cool for Dr. Yong to share his. Also interesting to hear about the different alternatives that are being explored as treatments and to hear about the various rates of illness - Alberta is considered to have a high sunshine stat, but in the grand scheme of things it's certainly harder to get the vitamin D humans need!! The brain is a fascinating thing. The impact of exercise being what it is, I'm glad that Curtis went into this with the mindset he had already!

      Yes I agree it was very cool to talk to someone deep in the field of research. I feel like I dropped the ball because I was very curious to ask him what his actual day to day looked like…but who knows maybe we’ll get to have a more in depth chat down the road! -Eric
