Wrecked Honda pioneer 1000 frame swap repair
Introduction to a 2016 Honda pioneer 1000 bent frame swap/repair. A union made in partrimony combining the rear of one unit with the front of another. Please keep the driver's family in your prayers. This was kept in impound since 2018 until this past spring. ***I miss spoke, less than 1000 miles, not hours***

This is a short series on an Illinois offroad gem called Mill Creek Lake outside Marshall in Clarke County. It is near the Indiana border off of Interstate 70. It has approx 15-20 miles of wooded trails primarily for atv and dirtbike. You can ride SXS but some of the trails are tight. It will require an Illinois sticker and a day use of currently 10$ per person a day. they also offer camping, f...

Thanks for this video man, im installing the avenger driveshaft next week and i was thinking id have to actually completely remove the cv axles but i seen how you just took that one bolt on the a arm to drop the wheel knuckle to allow it to come out of the differential
happy to help and share the information. It is a much easier way if you do not have to replace wheel bearings and such. remember to use marine grease on the ends of the axle when you put them back in.
Thats pretty sweet man! Yeah ive been thinking of relocating my radiator on my 2016 because it gets plugged up so easy being in the front...its such a terrible design from yamaha...but the relocation kits are expensive
Yes they are. This cost me a total of about $50 and my time to do this relocate. I think it turned out pretty good. I may yet upgrade to the larger radiator, but the jury is out on that.
@quadzilla819 what coolant temperature gauge did you go with and is it working pretty good, I've been wanting to put one on my car to watch the temp more closely instead of waiting for the coolant light to come on if I'm overheating

What state are u riding in.. I just bought a 800s I'm dying to ride the trail. I have never been on it
We were riding in West Virginia. The 800s is a very under rated machine and it is my go to (even though I also have a YXZ) If you just bought one I also have a video on tips, tricks, and things to look for on these. They are a tank and I love mine to death! If you scroll thru the videos it was published last October (2023)
do you have any idea on how to remove the rev limiter on these 800s?
That would be something that would have to have the PCM flashed and the limiter changed. I am not sure who you would have to contact to do that, BUT....I would caution on doing this. The 800 is a pushrod motor, unlike most others on the market, which are overhead cam. If you go too high you take the risk of bending a pushrod to the valves. They have natural deflection just like a car, but in a car you upgrade these when you increase the horsepower. I have seen power increases done to them but I am not sure what the cost to reliability is. The 800s, for the most part, is pretty indestructible. I have not had a lack of power on any HMT trail I have been on. It is just a matter of knowing if you will have momentum, or do you need to run it up in low.
I would start with a uni filter, or KN, tuner, and a decent exhaust and go from there (which is what I have done). I am very happy with mine and sometimes regret the YXZ I purchased this spring. Its not that the YXZ is a bad machine...far from it. It is that I did not need it since the 800s is such a great machine.
I’m assuming by the sound that’s an 800? What size tires are you running?
I have 27" bighorns in the rear, 27" ITP sniper 920's in the front. I liked the snipers so much that I put a full set of those on my YXZ. bighorns are an excellent tire but just dont last if you get any kind of road miles. I put them on at the same time and the bighorns are about 5/8 tread now and the snipers are 3/4 tread or better. they have about 1000 miles on them.
we do get some road miles at HMT, but not much here in Illinois.
2013 rzr800s.
@@quadzilla819 sweet man, Keep up the good videos!
I have 2013 800s myself. Just bought it. 3,600 miles got it for a steal! A lot of miles are road miles from an Indiana owner. Needs new tires and I’m struggling pulling trigger on what to buy. Just subscribed to ya. Appreciate your videos. Take care man!
My sway bars are disconnected, rides super smooth but you will have body roll in turns, tires wise, hard to go wrong with a bighorn, but roads tear them up quick. I would look at the ITP sniper 920's. that is what I have on the front. they are excellent if you do any road riding, almost no road noise in fact, they are 8 ply, and a good offroad tread.....most importantly, affordable. I liked mine so much that I went thru National tire and wheel out of Wheeling WV and got all 4 for my YXZ for $660 delivered. bighorns were going to be about $1000, almost all others were that price. I have about 750 miles on them on the RZR, and probably 100 road of that. They still have some of the nipples on them. Their tread is not as deep, but last long. i put bighorns on the rear at the same time and they are about 1/2 tread.
Thank you sir. You just saved me time and money
Happy to help. Glad to help anyone else that have had my same issues, and an affordable way to do it.

Hello . What a great way to spend a day .
Yes it was! We try to at least twice a year and get as many of us older folks together and have a small reunion and ride like we did before we had kids....most of us have them gone now, or grandkids now
Even though it dead ends there now, looks like a nice view on a clear day.
beautiful view for sure
Enjoy watching y'all's videos. Y'all had the right trails, they were closed, yea, I wanted to go up trail 16 but they put up a no entry signs, think there getting ready to start logging or mining. It threw me off as it was only my 2nd time at Hatfield
The maintenance manager at Ashland said they are getting ready to strip mine it

Thanks for posting. I’m enjoying this series on HMT. Also appreciate the commentary, along the way.
well thank you, i do my best. i did just purchase a remote mic, so hopefully when i go back i can use it to allow the commentary to be more clear and less wind noise

What kind of exhaust you running
HMF Swamp series. barely louder than stock (2DB I believe). I do not think they are currently still in production, but found a nice used one cheap on facebook marketplace. Had a big gun and it was too loud, swapped it to stock, then found this one.
Fantastic video. Im looking to get one of these. Anything to look for in particular regarding wear when buying used?
keep an eye on the a-arm mounts that i mention in the video, try to stay 2012 or newer. I was told the older ones had transmission issues. the front differential likes to break the spraque carrier, but it is an easy replace. only other issue i am aware of is the rear pinion nut coming loose. I have not had this issue, but have heard of it.
@@quadzilla819 thank you, great info! Appreciate ya
Higher Mile's lol 4600 Miles @ 11 years old is incredibly low mile machine. Nice machine !!.
thank you. I try to take care of it. I have a new surprise I will be posting shortly that I picked up last night. Currently it is at 4900 miles and change. I think the highest I have saw was a ranger with 8k miles without a rebuild. We don's really see crazy miles here in Hellinois
Look like it cost more than a older clunker truck
some do, but the 800's are pretty affordable. I do not have as much as many do in their units. after what Purchased it for and the maint/add ons....I am Probably around $7500, and have been running it now for 8 years this year. Yes you could buy a beater truck for less, but I can go a lot of places a beater truck can't.
Try Flatout to seal out the tire. It works!!!
I will look into that, do you know where I can find it?
I really enjoyed your videos I have the very same 800s Do I have a video on changing the brakes pads rear and front
i can make one for you possibly this week
What is easy way to do a frontend alignment
I will get it out tonight and get you one posted. There are two ways that I use that works pretty good, and I even use it on my camper and my f350. Alignments are pretty easy to do

Have you ever done a belt change or have a video on it
I have not done one, I haven't needed to. The trick with these belt operated machines is to run it like a rental. If you are easy on the throttle it is harder on the belts. I know that sounds funny, but if you ease in, it allows the belt to slip instead of grip. There is a tool, or I have seen videos of people using prybars to open up the secondary. Once you do this, it is just a quick change out.
I was always told as soon as you go "off road" to put in low. Keeping rpms up saves the belt. 7k, and I'm still on the stock belt.
@@hockeyplayer8372 depends on your driving style. as long as you are not "easing" into the throttle it is not hard on the belt. the only time i have personally needed low is slow rock crawling or steep hill climbs with no momentum going in, or maybe a mud hole. i use low if i am using it in the yard for stuff.
