FeatherLite Linemans Rope Set Up
มุมมอง 472หลายเดือนก่อน
I go over how to properly use and set up your Wild Line Ropes FeatherLite Linemans rope. NOT FOR USE AS A TETHER!!! At WLR we DO NOT consider ANY Linemans Rope to be used for Life Safety! Being tied to the tree with a tether/rappel/lifeline is the only way to remain safe at height. Shop FeatherLite Linemans Rope at www.wildlineropes.com/product-page/featherlite-linemans-rope

Featherlite Tether

A 100% metal free tether. This tether features a double locking soft shackle on the hitch so no biner required. I also made the eye of the rope with a double locking soft shackle to easily go around limbs.

WLR Hitch by Wild Line Ropes
มุมมอง 6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
How to tie the WLR Hitch Here I show how to tie the WLR hitch using an eye to eye hitch cord. You can tie with a length of cord; however, with smaller cords it is best to use an eye to eye as those types of splices are generally stronger than a knot. Like many friction hitches it may or may not work with the ropes you are using so it is important to do thorough testing at ground level before tr...

Yall still selling this?
Yes. There's no photo on the listing, but it would be like the one in this video. This is the product link www.wildlineropes.com/product-page/wlr-pro-bridge
I like the way you store the lineman’s rope, it’s always there but out of the way.
It is definitely important to have a spare rope on hand!
Great video ! Thank you. Took me 2 tries on my Marlin 336W. The start point is very important; can't go back to move it. I have shared this on a Marlin owners forum. I used a chocolate brown paracord with my wood gun. Looks nice.
Good deal! glad it worked out well for ya and thanks for the share.
Im definitely guilty of clogging my barrel with dirt a time or two. Seem like it happens at least once a year when lowering gun from stand. Great kit to have on hand.
It sure is handy!
Neat and simple, I like it. Sure beats spitting on my muddy scope lens just to clean it 😂
Haha ya got to do what ya got to do!
Good stuff
Very cool demo that I can relate to! I'm looking forward to trying out the soft shackle tether and light flip line setup that I ordered.
I use a similar system, but a little bit easier and, in my personal view, more convenient. The alignment belt is only used if I need to get around a branch. The reason is it saves time, and for safety reasons, it's not necessary to use it the whole time. The ladder I use is one piece, so I don't leave anything behind that I need to remove later, like you did on the way down (daisy chains). If I want to descend, I install another rope the same way as the tether, just a few inches above, remove everything else from the tree, clip on a small retrieval line, and then rappel down with the Grigri. This is one of the most important steps, due to i like to go out for hunting at the evening and i do not want to use a ladder in the dark. So rappeling is safe (and fun). :)
❤Wish you health and success
Good video bud!! Just subscribed!!
Thanks! we got a ton more videos to do so stay tuned.
@@wildlineropes6272 awesome absolutely will
nice
Fing genius bro.
Thanks! Spent a fair amount of time getting it figured out.
Thanks man. Just did my 1895 Trapper
Thank you sir, I've just got a lever action airsoft and find this really helpful, much appreciate.
How long it last battery
Really depends on what battery you run. I ran these for 5-6 hours on a standard 7amp hour UPS battery.
Can you show in the water?
Very helpful Justin 🙏🏾.
I like this method alot more than the typical "braid" style. Not so bulky.
What kind of extended hammer is that?? What brand??
Come with the rifle so I guess the OEM is Marlin. I think Ranger Point Precisions may have them.

Climb using tether! If you slip with a lineman’s belt you will have a long painful slide down the tree.. Few people ever have their LB high and tight enough or close enough to tree to assure immediate help. If you’re gonna tell her down, you might as well tether up.😮
You MUST wear a tether AND lineman's rope in conjunction with each other to use the Aider Climbing System.
I would like to introduce y’all to the DDM HITCH, u need um uh about 62 and 38/12ths foot of 1.83 mm grand peak canyon winch cable, gonna take 2 inches as your standing line, and add 72 wraps and 3 tangles, 2 water moccasin braids, never mind the slack,it will come out after u dead. We are going to tie it on inch and 3/8 drill line. If you can’t drag 112’ of drill line to the woods and throw it over a limb at 0500 hrs, then you’re a puss anyhow. 😂 I do like that hitch tho
What brand sling is that? I’d like to get one for my sbl. Also great video
Thank you! This is a sling I made. I don't usually sell them because they are so time consuming.
Thanks. This is much sleeker than the more common bracelet style wrap.
I have been looking for an easy way to wrap my 1950 336RC and I just found it. Good Job on the video
Time to change the battery in your smoke detector (1:13).
You’ve got a good system. Not meaning to take anything away, but I’m hooked on my Sladder. When I get to desired height, I unhook one side of my L-loop and attach it to the tree. That way I can take off my pack, hang my bow and quiver and stay connected. Just like going around a limb. I’ll use the other end of my tether to pull and let down my gear. If I need to, I can also tie things like a jacket or whatever to the top of the Sladder. For me, I’m able to give up the platform and the ring of steps, unless I want them! I forgot to mention that the first thing I do is put my tether on the tree and attach the other end to my bow and pack. A forty foot rope is more than enough to get me where I want to be. I use a Hero clip so that I can lower things down and just shake the end and it readily removes itself. Rappelling all the way to the ground is made easier even if I have to go further than I can on that length of rope. At any point of my decent I can stop and re-attach the Sladder and my L-loop, pull my tether down and re-attach it again and continue to lower myself. Take a look.
I actually met the guy and he seems like a cool dude! My one biggest advantage is I can use the ACS on regular sticks as a fixed or moveable aider. I can add an additional foot loop and skip the platform as well; however, I do like having the extra foot room of a platform.
Check out JRB CLIMBING and extension pole to set your climbing safety rope high in the tree from the ground !
Hi, great video. What strength paracord did you use?
Standard 550 cord.
Put a leash on the daisy chains and you can pull them up as you go. Only need two.
I actually have a Single daisy method. Exactly like one sticking.
I need you to do this with a GoPro or something so I can see it close up. Love this idea.
Maybe When I can get back to doing more videos I can add in a close up.
Biggest advantage I see out of this is no metal. I rope climb but you cant have presets everywhere. This makes sense for a run and gun no metal system. Safer than 2TC with less moves. Personally I am good enough at not making noise that I will stick with the one stick but the no metal thing is going to appeal to folks. With something like a Dryad you could have a killer wallow hunting setup for mountain hunting at under 3 lbs.
I hunt mostly mountains so it is built for them. The biggest con is it is not great for trees that are crooked and growing weird.
Nice...
Went ahead and did this method on my 1873 Win.. I think it’ll be just fine. Thanks!
Glad it worked out for you!
Basically a hangman’s slip knot - looks great 👍🏽
Fantastic guide! Just did this on my 1894. It's the neatest looking way of wrapping I've seen so far. Thank you for the guide :)
No problem, glad it was a help and easy to follow!
Q hermosa arma una de esa quisiera yo para agarrar pacas
Meth head version of how to do it. Your smoke detector battery needs tending to.
Awesome - you made it look easy - Nice lever gun…
Thanks! it's not too hard with a little practice.
Ill have to do something like that to my autopilot 120
What's the weight rating on that connection? Any worry of fast wear n tear? I purchased one from you, just have yet to use it in the feild. Thanks!!
The weight rating is 5,000 pounds. The wear is pretty minimal.
That should do lol! Thank you
What’s the weight rating on the lines man and the tether
5,600 on tether and 2,700 on linemans.
You should use your tampon string next time
Can you show what this setup would look like when actually climbing with it from this perspective? I use a linesman to climb and then switch to my tether once on my platform. I use both if needing to go around limbs of course..basically wanting to see the full deployment and attachment to saddle in the tree.
You can check out this video as I use the tether in it but I don't have a video of just using the tether. th-cam.com/video/7lLqUs_xGIU/w-d-xo.html
is that your smoke detector?
Most definitely.
This may be the most creative way to use a noose I’ve seen
Change your smoke detector battery.
Facts.
Dude 😂 I was almost hoping he did it just as a troll, like how Mark dice inserts the chirp in his videos for fun.
Only thought #basketballpeople did that
Great stuff
Thanks!
Cool concept.
Thanks! Works pretty well for how I hunt.
Beautiful knot!
Thanks!
Nice job. I saw that you had a different trigger than stock. What kind is that? I just bought the SBL and the trigger is floppy they say that’s the Marlin trigger flop. Was yours that way?
Yes, Unfortunately they all have floppy trigger. I got the Ranger Point Precisions trigger as a replacement and love it.
