Thankyou for posting this brings back memories. I raced at airtime for years and I heard about bmx glory days and met randy a few times when his kids came out to ride. BMX racing was the best of my teenage years, great people and great racing.
Hayden just seemed to give up. I didn't realize he was still racing in 98. Back in the mid eighties is when I last raced him in azusa. He beat me on a borrowed bike when he got a flat on his DB. I hear he has bigger fish to fry now. I was at whittier narrows a couple years back and I thought I saw him but it was some cat named "Dick burger" aka something Morris. That guy is fast too.
@@TheTomcory I last seen Linda Dorsey on my street I grew up on in Pasadena. She had moved into the neighborhood and we spoke briefly . I had no idea she was sick. I whish I had talked with her more. I just took it for granted she would be around.
I've been on a quest to find each year from the year i quit racing from 1988 to 2000 of some decent race coverage .. this did not disappoint. From Kuwahara ,Huffy, to GT .. Gary Ellis last race was like a walk off HR .. 💯💯💯💯 Never knew Veltman turned pro or Hadan . So essentially Gary Ellis raced nearly 20 years in the pro ranks? The GOAT 🐐 title may be appropriate.
Just a quick hello from Jesse Givens. I have so many fond memories of your announcing growing up. I hope you’re well and sending a hello from my brother Billy and dad George (red haired arm wrestler) too. Greg was such a terrific rider, always looked up to his ability!
