I love your expressive playing Julin. You play not only with great security and ease, but with such freshness and vitality! And to play this at just 11 is amazing. I know you just won an orchestral position and this is much deserved. Really well done!!

Made me think about prodigies. All musicians (me too) say "I hear in my mind how I want it to sound". We spend a lifetime chipping away the barriers. A prodigy has a natural understanding of how the piano, guitar, flute, etc. works. They aren`t necessarily more artistic. They just grasp. I`ve gone to master classes where the instructor asks for something quite different from what was being done. The student immediately shifts to the different technique, fingering, voicing, etc. It explains all the 10 year olds playing the Chopin etudes. You can see this with Julin.

Congratulations Julin, for winning the VSO position. Now he knows you were not bluffing when you said you wanted to play in an orchestra. 😄

When you were six years old, did you have much of a problem holding the C flute? I had a few students at that age who had trouble with the length.

Even if you are taught by the best flautist in the world, you still have to have natural ability. This kid sure has it.

Sr.james galway has teaching him well as he is student at James galway academy wish my parents could afford it to me and wish I could afford it to my kids, it's possible to see sr.james eyes shine when he take lessons on this kid, definitely his proud of this young and future great talented flautist
