This is such a well crafted story! It entices the listener along and rewards questions with more questions. A well told mystery! Luke Daniel's performance gives each character vitality and depth. He captures the shakey surety of youth as well as the weariness of years lived in a world that is hard and uncertain. He is gracious to the women. I look forward to other works by this author! Isn't it lucky there's at least one more on this channel! ⚘

Jasper is an annoying little wuss. He curls into a ball 20 times in this book.

"Pediatric shoes" on a waitress....

Out of hundreds of audiobooks I've listened to this hands down has been the best narrated book I've ever listened to, I felt like I was watching a movie it was so good. Excellent story kept my total attention 10/10 ! Hope to find more by this author and narrator!

Too predictable the lead character was manipulative and selfish. Too long winded and I didn't like the ending. Knowing Bessy's actions she's going to use this to get her revenge.
