6" gutters are much easier to hand clean... more room to get your hand in there for pulling out leave/debris out. And minimum 3x4 downspouts with rectangular outlets (no round outlets)

Gutters will always be problematic as long as the use the antiquate method of crimp and screw. A sure-fire way to enhance blockages and backups.

If I go from a 5" gutter (4 downspout) to a 6" gutter, can I get away with only 2 downspouts as opposed to 4? TIA

Rivets work pretty well, too. Screws are more convenient for sure. I've had customers complain about me using screws. I tried rivets, and they worked perfectly. I caught a gutter guy on the job and saw him using color matched rivets for his end caps and downspouts. I asked him if I could buy a small box and he gave them to me. The metal usually doesn't come down until it's being replaced, so it works pretty well. We see this issue a lot in northern Ohio. I'm a few miles from Lake Erie. Good video, though. Have a good one and be safe on those roofs.
