Great video. My only issue is getting out the damn drain plug. It’s always stuck solid. (Not rusted just stuck as we only use our boat in fresh water). I’ve tried a vise grip on the screw driver method and it won’t break free. Volvo really needs to design a better plug with an Allen head or something. (sigh)

I'm about to do this on my "new" boat (same drive). Have done it for an outboard for many years, but this is new. Are there plastic washers on the drain plugs that need to be replaced each time? Does the rubber o-ring on the dip stick need to be replaced as well? Thanks for the video.
No the plastic washer doesn’t need to be replace every time you change the gear oil unless it’s broken and also the o-ring as well

I went out to the river with my daughter over Labor Day weekend but it was in flood stage everywhere in the Yuma area, so we wound up at Squaw Lake, where we caught couple tilapia along with some bluegill and redear. That was a first for both of us. Sightfishing, wasn’t sure what they were until we got them out of the water. I usually get my tilapia at Asian markets :) Now that I know they’re there, I will target them :) Do you find them more in the river itself, or are the canals and lakes better?
I caught most of them right where the River cut off to canal in Blythe wild life area

Yes you can but sometimes it leaves air in between

the entire lower unit should be tilted as straight up and down as practical, so when you measure the oil, it is accurate.

Yeah you can do road hunt cuz there’s lots of roads that you can hunt a lots of roads around
Oh yea I've been on most haha. Was just curious if your buck was seen driving or walking through the brush.. Because the only bucks I seen was walking in thick brush. Only see does while driving
