Saving Backyard Birds--Free Zoom Class!
มุมมอง 37ปีที่แล้ว
Attracting birds to your yard can be fun and exciting, as high numbers of beautiful birds are concentrating on one location to obtain food and water. However, this can also cause problems for birds. Diseases can spread at feeders, predation can increase around them, and other hazards such as windows on the property, can injure the birds we love and care for. If you'd like to learn how to safely...

    I highly encourage anyone reading this (yes you) to look up LiDAR images of Carolina Bays, as well as the Glacial Impact Hypothesis.

    • @DabblersDen
      @DabblersDen 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If wind and water created these, we should find many examples that are in multiple stages of development. We don't...every single one of the Carolina Bays and Nebraska Rainwater Basins are complete mathematical ellipses...doesn't add up.

      The different ages of the "dunes" on the SE rims are caused by overturned sediment at creation.

      I watched one of these shows for kids' education and the lady said they were Whale Wallows. It is beyond me how anyone who has been around the block a couple of times cannot see that the Carolina Bays are impact scars. No they were not produced from beaver tails, fish tails, underground gas bubbles, directional winds, and certainly not for whale breeding. Whales are mammals and do not lay eggs along with fecundity rabbits. Sorry that my perception of salt water agitation is greater than yours.

      @@DabblersDen - You know that practically happens all the time to me. Just yesterday I commented to Anton Petrov about his video To Everyone's Surprise, Mars Seems to be Responsible for the Zodiacal Light - : No mention of the Taurid Stream in the video or the comments? Nor Fred L. Whipple? It is going to be a long road for the Younger Dryas Impact Theory. The most dangerous meteor stream that was responsible for the end of the Pleistocene and which is universally pointed to, the Pleiades, as the causation. When we cross this stream on Halloween which is about death and fireballs means nothing at all? ; I don't know... Gives one an eerie feeling doesn't it?

    Due to Jay's talk this week about bird sounds, we have been able to hear vireos in our yard and even were able to spot a summer tanager flying from tree top to tree top. It is the most wonderful thing in the world to discover a new bird. Thank you all for doing this.

    I live in Summerville s.c. , in a townhouse community with 3 small ponds. last sunday morming when I opened the blinds that face the pond, there was a bald eagle, I was supprized, I must have startled it and it flew away, although I was in my glory, it just did't seem right. I get a lot of different wild life, but seeing the eagle I didn't know what to think. can u tell me if this common? IT WAS BEAUTIFUL, a bald eagle in the wild. thank u, denicenowak@yahoo.com
