This was such a refreshing and educational take on the tourist from last week getting intimate with the stature of Bacchus. I understood if people were concerned about breaking the statue, which has happened in the past with other historical works, but the focus seemed to be on the woman's lewd and sexual interactions with the statue. I was thinking, ok, so?? What better way to honor Bacchus than that?? Not only were my initial thoughts confirmed, but you gave me new insight into the way such historical statues are viewed, and thought of. Great little video, thank you!!

The Margrave’s chateau is full of heraldic emblems. Swans both white & black, Fleur-de-lis, eagles. But what it isn’t full of is food. When I visited he didn’t even offer me a sandwich. I would’ve settled for a Scotch Egg. Not the most gracious of hosts.
