summer transfer window 'winners' tend not to win much.....
I don't support West Ham because they win trophy's its all good. But does winning the transfer window come with a trophy is the question 👀
@@ViewFromTheGantryPodcast Summerville I think be class - hate transfer window winning chat, sounds like arsenal chat every window.
Jhon Duran scored 1 goal per 90 last season in the league. He played 462 minutes total scoring 5 times. Antonio scored 1 per 285, playing 1711 mins and scoring 6 goals Of the 35 league games Duran has played for Villa since his arrival, hes been used an average of just under 17mins per appearance. Duran is actually an outstanding, under utilised player thats unfortunately stuck behind an even bigger talent in Ollie Watkins and I think he'll be worth well beyond that 40m price tag in a couple years. His attitude is an issue mind you
While i get that, 5 goals in 35 games does not warrant a £40 million price tag. Another way to look at it is the risk West Ham would be taking to put that much money into a player that hasn't played many (if any) full games is huge. Fullkrug imo is such a better option
Hahah bunch of gimps
Danso is austrian but yeah good points there
I think centuries of colonilst mentality make you think you can mess with another country where we live with no racial or religious conflict because never had segregation policies. Basically we all mix and we apply colorism to objects and not to people.
Accusing a country of being racist.. wow, how is that not wrong or f’ed up
Don't think you were listening, I said there is racism in argentina. A goverment official gets sacked because he recommends his nations captain to apologise for the chant? Does that not smell off to you ?
@@ViewFromTheGantryPodcast You're clearly ignorant on Argentina and it's policies. There's a new government in Argentina with the moto "FREEDOM"... basically that guy was sacked because it goes against the idea of free thinking/doing; "Government should not interfere with people's ideas, etc". The Vicepresident expressed herself supporting Enzo, but the President didn't agree with her statement and sent her sister, which has a goverment position to apologise to the French consulate. Argentina is not a racist country, because there's no hate here nor any oppression, etc. which is more a European/US problem. That's why those type of football songs/rants, etc are not even considered as racist but more like a "joke". Why don't you talk about the selective finger pointing that exists in England? It's basically hypocresy or just hate against 3rd world countries..
@@ViewFromTheGantryPodcast So you really think Argentina is a racist country? Based on a song that highlights the indiscriminate and treacherous use of naturalization of people from the colonies? Trevor Noah and John Obi Michael said the same, but you wouldn't dare call them racist, right?
@@ViewFromTheGantryPodcast That guy got sacked because just like in any job one person does not get speak or make decisions for the boss BEFORE actually speaking with the boss. 😂 Clearly you don't follow politics because you would have known that Argentina has a new President and like most Presidents they get rid of the old cabinet members. The guy that got sacked was an old member and this was probably his last dig knowing he was going to be sacked eventually. 🤣
racism isn’t the same in south america, there is no systemic oppression like in europe, the europeans act all PC while having policies that oppress other, in south america it isn’t like that, we welcome everyone with open arms, it’s a normal thing to make comments on race here because people don’t get offended like in europe, you gotta understand that there’s cultural differences, stop trying to blame colonized countries from your colonialist moral high horse. europeans have no place to call south americans racist when your entire history is a racial hierarchy.
I don't understand, you criticize Enzo Fernández, when he also apologized. And in turn you say that all racism is found in Argentina, generalizing and saying that an entire country is racist. So what would you be? Who are all of you to judge and generalize?
Maybe if it were one or two players, no one would say anything, but 90% of the starting team is made up of players from the colonies. Perhaps if the USA nationalizes the best players from each country to compete in the World Cup it will organize in 2026, it will be just as fair. It is a clear adulteration of the competition
Escuchen Corran la bola Juegan en Francia Pero son todos de Angola Qué lindo es Van a correr Son come trabas Como el puto de Mbappé Su vieja es nigeriana Su viejo, camerunés Pero en el documento Nacionalidad: francés
The best thing that can happen to Enzo is getting sold, Chelsea is a shit show and they suck.
Boring….
The problem I have with this is people that don't understand the meaning of the chant and someone else (ulterior motives) assigns it a meaning to suit their purposes like "this is racist" and everyone just runs with that . This song was written after Mbappe said european football was "superior" to south american football and pissed off an ENTIRE continent so a part of the song takes straight aim at Mbappe because he dated a transexual. The other part of the chant is a swipe at France and their hypocrisy. The parts that says everyone is from Angola but their passport says France refers to how most of the team is comprised of children of recent African immigrants (some previous players were born in Africa). This part eludes to geopolitics and France taking resources from Africa for centuries and to this day not allowing certain countries to have financial independence blah blah blah basically France is still a colonizer in the 21st century and now they are stripping Africa of their talented youth. The context of this is that if these players decided to play for their parents or grandparents country of origin (Cameron, Nigeria, Algeria, Morocco etc) like many other french born players have already done, France would not have a team.
I think European football pro club is more developed and superior than South America. And it’s not even close anymore, like every players dream and want to play in Europe, just the premier league has more pro international players than the whole Brazilian and Argentinian clubs. You need to get out of your cave it isn’t about Europe centrist, it’s about the club and players being much more known there. Example, Messi quitted Argentinian pro football league to go in la liga and it’s obviously because the level and the league is more developed there, same thing with Neymar, Di María, Ronaldinho, Maradona. Or any Brazilian player in the international team…
And sorry to break it to you but Enzo Fernandez isn’t che Guevara or whatever you think he is. He wasn’t chanting to fight for black rights knowing he is Italian immigrant and Argentina genocided all their African descendants and indigenous. Argentina was supporter of colonialism and Germany ideas during the 30-40s even letting them in freely. They hate African descents and deported them massively that’s why there is only 0.4% of the population being black and 97% being white. The chant wasn’t to celebrate trans or African descent rather joking and shaming them for being black and representing France, when France is just well more diverse than Argentina and there is no shame in representing France and being black.
They chanted that knowingly the chat was ban by fifa in the 2022 for being racist and as a player he should show example. The players like Mbappé and Dembele already expressed themselves on the chant back then saying they didn’t like it and that they consider themselves French and questioning about their appartenance is just hurtful for them knowing they were born and raised there to play for France. Fofana just said the truth and that he was hurt by that chant and if the oppress aimed group is feeling hurt it’s maybe because it’s not okay and denying it is just bad faith. The funniest thing is people defending it when we hear the players in the back screaming to stop recording at Enzo the chanting it when they start singing the racist and transphobic chant 😅… even furthermore, Messi at psg said to stop chanting that chant that was very offensive for French players and he sisnt ever sang it and still didn’t sing it proving again it wasn’t okay. very ironic when all the Argentinian mostly come from Europe like Messi or even Hernandez.
@@manu-animation-924 In that I agree they shouldn't have sang it because even if the song isn't racist they already knew that people had issues with it. There was no need to rehash all that animosity all over again.
@@manu-animation-924 Don't kid yourself Neymar, Di María, Ronaldinho, Maradona, Messi and countless others go to Europe. for the prestige and because they pay more $$$ money . IF European football is so much more " developed and superior than South America" or other countries for that matter then why did Japan beat both Spain & Germany, Portugal lost to S. Korea and Morocco, Spain lost to Colombia, Holland couldn't beat Ecuador and so forth. The only reason European leagues are more prestigious now is because they are filled with talented non Europeans not to mention they keep on taking the kids younger and younger from countries like Brazil and recently Ecuador.
It is sad to see that you are seeing everything in colours. It doesn't matter if the African players that France put in their team are black, white or purple. The fact that FIFA, UEFA and everyone along the way just doesn't care that a national team is comprised by players from outside that country is outrageous. We don't care abt the colour of the skin. We care about the FFF treating their national team like a club, mixing and matching people from all europe and Africa.
And who are those players that were born outside the country ?

You English and French should copy the Italians. In Italy, you are basically Italian if you have at least one Italian parent, not if you were born in Italy. This is called the right of blood, not the right of soil. Two English people can have a child in Italy (and I say English to avoid saying Africans) and that child will not be Italian. The Italian government does not grant citizenship to that baby just for being born in Italy. The child has to spend 18 years in Italy and reach adulthood there to finally be able to become an Italian citizen. You and the French should copy the Italians. That is the reason why we see very few black Italian players. Unlike your national teams where practically half or more of the team is of African descent. Do we have a worse team because of that? I don't know, we won the World Cup in 2006 without having black players, against France who had more than 10.
And by the way, I didn't know that being African was something bad. Nowhere in the song is anything racist mentioned. It only says that they play for one country but are from another. It’s like if England won with most of the team being Japanese. Is saying they play in England but are Japanese racist? ... And yes, many of them were born in France, but we all know why they were born in France, because France has colonies in Africa from which many people migrate to France due to the ease of the language, a language that was imposed colonially and by force by France centuries ago. So, to summarize, yes, they have the right to play for France if they were born in France and if they have French citizenship by being born in that country, but the rest cannot be hidden with a finger of one hand. That rest is what comes out in songs like this.

@@manu-animation-924 First of all, a group of people feeling offended by a song is not a reason to cancel the song. Number two, obviously the song aims to offend; it wasn't created by an NGO but by football fans who even kill each other over their team's colors. Do you think they have the best intentions? Number three, the song is not racist. Despite what FIFA or those who feel offended by the song might say, it doesn't mention races anywhere, only nationalities. The people who call the song racist are the ones making the analogy Angola = black = inferior, Cameroon = black = inferior, Nigeria = black = inferior. But that analogy is outside the lyrics. There are black people living in Argentina, some from Angola, who listen to the song and don't think it's racist because, for them, being from Angola is not pejorative, and they're right. The ones who consider this song racist are two groups of people: those who feel targeted, such as black French-born individuals, who understandably might see it as racist because they are directly affected, and those who think Africans are inferior and therefore associate African nationalities with an insult, concluding the song is racist just because someone mentioned someone is African and not French. They are mocking the French, not the Africans. France wouldn't have a good team without the African diaspora. That's evident. It's legal for them to play for France; that's not in question. But the irony remains the same: France would have a lousy team if not for its colonial past. Once again, the song is offensive, yes, but it shouldn't be a reason to cancel it because it doesn't emphasize racist arguments. Instead, it highlights a reality that is politically incorrect to talk about. And no, Argentina did not get rid of its black citizens as the TH-cam videos suggest. The black population in Argentina arrived as slaves acquired by the Spanish before independence. During the wars of independence, many black people died. Others died from epidemics, some migrated to Brazil, and those who remained were assimilated into a growing white population from Europe. Besides, it is false that Argentina is a country of only white people; there is a large mestizo population in Argentina. The white phenomenon in Argentina can be seen in Buenos Aires or Rosario, but there are other provinces with a high percentage of mestizos, such as Salta, Jujuy, or Santiago del Estero.
You have wiki knowledge of Argentine history. Gotta do better@@manu-animation-924

The Song it Is not about the race, but the fact France national team is a kind of a selection of an entire continent, in this specific case, Africa. In a way is unfair. 30 years ago were not so many "African origin players" and France was not so good in football. But will be the same, if you say that Germany has a lot of Turkish people. May be I agree that mbappe part cannot be defended.
Exactly!!! It seems nobody understand the Lyrics! It literally makes fun about that france wouldn’t be good without the Africa descendent players, and as we know french people are racist, as it is Europe in general, the song expose how convenient it is, the immigrants subject, for those countries.

Yeah not a bad shout
McDonald's is about the level he should be aiming for
The truth about the GAS LIGHTING David Moyes, these are not my opinions as they are clear FACTS! 1. When Moyes took over the managers job in 2013 he sacked all of Fergie's multiple league & cup winning backroom staff because Moyes wanted complete control of all of the aspects of the club. 12 years later the club have still not recovered from his incompetence 2. Having been SACKED by United in 2014 Moyes moved onto Real Sociedad where he lasted a year with a win rate of 29% before being SACKED AGAIN 3. During Moyes' time at Real Sociedad he did not make any attempts to learn Spanish. Sometime later Moyes got a new rule introduced within the Scottish FA that all new Scottish Managers who were undertaking their required badges had to learn a second language even though HE NEVER DID! 4. In 2016 Moyes joined Sunderland where he got them RELEGATED after achieving an amazingly low 19% win rate. Just like Man Utd, Sunderland have never recovered from it! 5. Moyes agreed to take over the WHU manager job whilst Slaven Bilic was still in charge 2017 (Slimy or what) for Moyes to then go onto having a 29% win rate even though Bilic win rate was 38% 6. In 2018 WHU decided not to extend Moyes 1 year contract so they brought onboard the 10 yes TEN managerial trophy winning Pelegrini as their new manager. The board had a knee jerk reaction in sacking him 18 months later in 2019 when WHU were in the relegation zone even though there was a good chance that he would have secured Prem League safety had he been allowed to carry on. 7. The WHU board decided to bring back David Moyes who previously had a 29% win rate to replace Pelegrini who had a win rate of 38% (the same as Bilic) 8. Moyes steadied the ship over the next 4 seasons whilst "AS HE LIKES TO TELL EVERYONE" that "HE" won them their first cup in 40 years ... and he did ... but look at the FACTS ... as the WHU had given Moyes over £500m worth of talent over the past 4 years. The really amazing fact is that this sum of money was MORE than ALL OF the teams that WHU played in that European competition COMBINED!!! 9. Moyes has an amazingly concerning poor history of hand picking new players himself that cost the club tens of millions of pounds to then play them out of position. When it all goes wrong as it commonly does, Moyes then gives the players the cold shoulder and pushes them out of the door at a major financial loss as he did with Haller, Scamacca, Benrahma, Vlasic & Cornet to name a few 10. WHU has one of the best academies in world football at the moment but Moyes simply will not play these young players even in cup competitions against lesser teams like Bristol City who funny enough beat WHU because our team was simply tied because of the lack of player rotation 11. Considering the £500m that Moyes has wasted over the 4 years, he is leaving the club with the smallest and OLDEST squad in the Prem League. So there you go, just a few FACTS about the useless snake oil salesman David Moyes who for some really weird reason has the football media in his pocket as they constantly patronise the WHU fans with ignorant statements like "Be careful what you wish for" as these clowns don't pay to watch the narcissistic one trick negative pony David Moyes terrible so called football

I sometimes wonder if I am watch a different game. This is the guy who plays with a fluid front 3, sticks 10 men in the opposition half and signed two of the most mercurial players to ever play at the club. It's genuinely like some people have just made their minds up and select whatever evidence supports their viewpoint. Results have been poor since the start of the year. Exactly what happened with Allardyce too. Sullivan loves you lot.
Ratcliff wants Southgate to go to Utd to unify and galvanise the players like he has done with England. Nothing more, nothing less than that until a top drawer manager wants to take them over as they are in complete disarray
Do you think he would do a better job that ten hag in league position terms ?
@@ViewFromTheGantryPodcast I think he'd struggle to match Ten Hag if I'm being honest !
Probably be the new fire fighter the first team in trouble at Christmas will employ him
💯
I think he should manage the international team for example Ireland
With the arrogance moyes carrys on his back he will probably think Madrid would interview him for a job
Retire spend time with your family
I think the biggest job he could get is either Everton or Leicester if they are in trouble next year and sack their manager . I think those are realistically the 2 biggest jobs he could get but I think he will end up at Forest or Ipswich probably
Yeah totally agree, has to be a bottom of table or fighting for survival in prem
Moyes started off really well in his first season and a half at West Ham, but then decided to play a defensive type of football. I would say to any potential clubs do be cafeful what you wish for. He has left us with an old and small squad. Moyes does have a cup to his name but also has the record for a West Ham side that has conceded a record 71 goals (Avram Grant 70 when the team was relegated). We have only managed 4 wins since January. I would say Moyes stock has gone down after the cup win not up? I don't understand all this clambering to defend him and have a pop at people that pay good money to watch slow and boring football, but if that's what you guys like then enjoy.
As soon as Alan Irvine left he was lost simple as that and his massive EGO wouldn't allow him to ask for help he has left us with oldest, smallest squad with first eleven shattered he is a liability any coach could of won us con cup.
