Thanks guys for shining the light on the mental health aspects of working in cyber esp at 35:30 Jason, and Dan you touched on it too a bit later. Yes we were a bit surprised to see no recognition of mental health challenges of cyber professional in the Strategy, particularly when the burnout rate research is so compelling, not least in CISOs themselves. But we’ll keep plugging away and look forward to seeing you guys in the US soon. There the government seems a bit more focused on the issue. Skills is pretty fundamental and Jason you’ve been on about this for years. But from where we sit at Cybermindz, there’s no point bringing them in if they’re just going to burn out in five minutes. I like to say we have a moral, an ethical obligation to make sure we provide a psychologically safe work environment for them so they don’t just survive, but can thrive in their cyber careers. Great first podcast guys, looking forward to the next one. Peter
Thanks, Peter, it's a great point that the burnout and mental health challenges of working in cyber should have been acknowledged in the strategy. We love the work being done at Cybermindz and we are looking forward to your event at RSA.
A big thank you to Dan Maslin for being our first guest. Please subscribe, like and comment if you would like to hear more.
