👍
messed up on the elevation at 6.15. was 86, not 56.
Good catch. I did have to fix what he painted by blacking it out and correcting it. You see that correction in a later frame shot. It’s not wrong if it’s fixed before you leave the site. haha
Impressive work, very detailed and thorough! Props!
Any reason why you didn’t use traffic control? Seems like a flagging operation would have been the safest option
Yes, a flagging operation would’ve definitely been safer and I would’ve appreciated having it. Unfortunately, my company did not want to go as far as to provide that for me. I don’t know if it was just because of money reasons or what. I could have gone back to my company and said that it was not safe enough for us to do, but I decided that, I would just try to get it done.

Greate vids, but why creapy music

Otimo trabalho, parabens. aqui do Brasil.
Thinking about quitting my office job to do land surveying or wildland fire...this looks less stressful haha
I definitely don’t envy those with office jobs, I did drafting for a few months in a row and it drove me crazy! I can handle it occasionally. You should give it a try, you’ll probably enjoy it. Time flies by when working out in the field!
Awesome view of western Washington to Eastern. Why would anyone leave here 😉😃
👍👍👍
I'm a title examiner in the Puget Sound area. I've been interesting in getting into surveying because I enjoy being outside, and reading maps in the record title is fun.

Nice touch letting us enjoy the view down the elevator with you
amazing 🔥
Thank you
Hey man, how are the work hours, vacation, and flexibility for land surveying jobs? I'm sick of my being on call every day and logging in at 7 till 5 sitting at my desk. And how tough on the body is it since I like being active?
It really depends on the company you’re working for to be honest. But here in Washington we typically seem to be getting 40 hour work weeks and companies seem to be hiring so things are good as far as that goes. As far as vacation, it’s also depends on the company, but most companies are giving at least 2 to 3 weeks. And I would say as far as wear and tear on the body, it’s not too bad until you have to go hiking through a forest that doesn’t have a trail already made for you to walk on. But it’s not a bad gig for someone who’s somewhat fit and likes the outdoors that’s for sure.
@@imageshereandthere3779 Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Thank you for your videos, you show almost the whole process, not just the ‘interesting’ bits. Awesome! Cheers from a surveyor in Australia
Thanks for watching!
I've driven down that road so many times!

And i aslo use reflective tape for shooting building corners; Using the prism for building corners: you will have to locoate the building corner, lock the azimuth and write down the offset from prism to building corner. For drafting, i will actually have like my occu point to bld1 azimuth direction line, then add offset to line
Yes I share the same sentiment pertaining to the levels. I use one gps level for reference and then use the Auto level, or total station to traverse around the construction site.
Chief 100%. Chain men 100% =. Perfect day a work
Why not use the GPS and total station for this job. Much more efficient
We’ve got so many trees and mountains in the area that I live in that we’ve just gotten used to using our total station for that kind of stuff to be more accurate. We probably could have gotten away with using the GPS on this job. However, our east line of this property would’ve given us all kinds of problems with using GPS because of the close proximity of buildings and trees overhead. Plus, we only have one GPS unit at my company for 4 crews to share. So usually we only use it for going out and setting up our control.
Wow! Yes I understand. But I still would of use the gps in the non obstruction areas. For the topo, I'll use the gps. I work as a one man army, so I use the gps to establish geodetic controls and then use the robotic gun for more areas where am getting obstruction with the gps. Some times I don't use the robotic at all; I even set build grid lines with the gps. The south g3 gps system is really good; Even when rechecking grid lines with the robotic, discrepancy is within 5mm/0.016ft
Nice! When I worked in North Dakota for two years, all we did was use GPS. And then, when we construction staked hubs in the ground with the GPS, we would run over them with levels for better accurate elevations. There’s all kinds of ways to do the same thing I guess.
shit nearmiss

Dog thinking why they pay these people to mark the boundaries I've got the whole yard marked.
As damp and wet as it is around here this place has to be toxic mine field of mildew and mold! This place is far from livable and it's definitely not legally rentable
Looks move in ready . Furnished ?😂
It's so sad humans destroy everything
Why are we anthropomorphizing this squirrel to say it's "crying?" I hear the squirrels in my yard all the time doing this and never once that they were crying. Smh ...
