MyFlyDream Auto-Antenna Tracker FPV
มุมมอง 1K6 ปีที่แล้ว
This is my first wing FPV flight with my AAT ground station. It still needs some tweaking but for the first test flight it really did phenomenal. You can see here exactly how the tracker responds to the plane motion in flight. The entire video is taken from the ground station view.

Why?Oh,Ming! FPV FLYING
มุมมอง 2197 ปีที่แล้ว
Published: 17 July 2017 Sometimes you just need to do a little travelling to get a nice new FPV perspective. Although I love Montana, I got some really beautiful footage in Wyoming seen here in this video. I had a real good time flying in July 2017. This is why I fly. That was neat. The part where you went in-between the trees, I was wide eyed.
What wing are you flying?
It’s the maxi-swift that you used to be able to buy from ReadyMadeRC
@@TheBurnsflyer Where is this location (if you don't mind me asking)?
@@lostwing Near Great Falls, Montana
Love the landscape. You need another wing to chase! :)
I couldn’t agree more. I’m putting one together with my son. So hopefully I will have him buzzing around with me soon.
You should fly by my place So you dad can reminisce
Hey Howard, ok. I’ll do that sometime 😃
Isn't it amazing how fast the Hero 8 real-time stabilizes. You can see the nose of your wing buffeting around yet, your image is rock solid. I love the newer GoPro cameras. So amazing.
Yes, this was the first time on the wing. I realize that in order to prevent that I need to move the GoPro further forward. But yes, the stabilization is amazing!
How fun. It's been quite a while since I did this. I miss it. What a blast. Nice flying Chris.
Awesome just needs to be able to rotate on its axis 100x faster haha
Ryan Frost true, I believe you can slightly adjust the rate. Most of the flying often is in one direction so minor adjustment are all that should be needed.
@3:22 the wing flew over head and the tracker did not continue to track the wing, were you able to trouble shoot it after the flight?
The Avian Influence the plane was still receiving a good connection. I believe I was just within limits before it would have rotated. There is a 30 meter range that MyFlyDream suggests for optimal tracking.
@@burnsflyer understood, thanks for the intel
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
Great setup. What is the antenna you are using on the MFD?
Chris Lawson I am using a basic 14db patch antenna. I bought it 7 years ago from a place that wasn’t even for FPV so I don’t have a brand name for you.
FUN!!! I wanna play. That looks so neat. The key word that you said on Facebook was, "operating like it is supposed to" unlike previous attempts with other products huh? Very cool Chris.
Great flight man 👌
PixelcounterFPV Thanks!
I’ve watched this like 5 times now mind blown 🤯 from the vista epic country
Logs 187 Montana is a beautiful state. The mountains here always blow me away with their beauty. I try to get up there to do some FPV flying every chance I get. But when I can’t I still have fun flying in my nice big yard.
Epic flight footage this has got to bee in the top 10 fpv vids on TH-cam brother your channel is pure inspiration I just subscribed can I get a follow back respect ✊
Logs 187 Thanks so much for your encouraging words. Thanks for watching and enjoying my videos. That is the reason I post them so others can enjoy and be inspired to fly FPV as well. I only hope other can share the love and excitement that I have for this hobby. Thanks for watching and thanks for the subscribe.
Hey little brother. Great job. This looks like so much fun. Definitely, let's fly wings when you come here.
Epic Flight Films sounds like a plan!
Very nice 😀
Great flight
Sweet! Nice backyard you got there.! Love the shadow chasing
andberge thanks! Yeah, it was good to get back in the air after all this snow we’ve been getting.
Are you in Burns, WY? If you are we should meet up sometime and get some chase footage. I'd like to check out your gear. I fly with another guy who dabbles in fpv planes as well. I fly fpv / los planes & quads. I'm geared for some distance as well.
wyomingoutdoors no, I was just visiting Cheyenne for a couple of weeks and took a day trip to the beautiful Medicine Bow mountains. If you’re ever flying in Montana look me up on Facebook.
I see No curve.. Other than the fish eye lens.. Nice flight..
Little Ricky'sFlyingCircus yeah, one of the things that is always a factor when filming with GoPro's is the fisheye look. But GoPro are such great HD cameras to use for their quality and price.
Some editing software has a filter that will take out the fisheye distortion. Mine does but I haven't needed to use it yet. Great footage of the balloon burst! Real nice stuff all the way around!
The earth is round not flat.
Hey Luke. Thanks for clearing that up for Me. l'll sleep better tonight.. lol..
Anybody wanting to fly FPV should spend as much time as possible on a simulator as possible before actually flying. You will crash thousands of times so it will save you having to keep buying replacement parts in the real world! I recommend FPV Freerider
This looks like high desert .... where are you? I'm in Southwest Idaho......
Hiking it's in Ulm, Montana
good stuff!! I didnt know you could still get maxi swifts!
MrAarongx , yeah ReadyMadeRC took over the production and sale of them from AMain hobbies. They don't provide the cool design schemes on them like they used to have but it is the same airfoil and exact same dimensions. They of course kept the name too. It's a great wing and very stable.
This is really cool Chris. Great Flying!!!
What motor, prop size, and esc are you using?
wyomingoutdoors I'm using a Turnigy C3642-1250kv motor with a 10X5 Graupner prop and Turnigy 60Amp ESC
Burrr!! Nice Flight..
nice man!
Awesome flight! I keep coming back to this! Shows how it's done ;)
YES, we want MORE :-D
Seems great spot for slope soaring.
It would be really good for slope soaring. Unfortunately it is in a state park and you regularly can't fly there.
Absolutely incredible! What exactly were those steam clouds off in the distance at 2:46? Geysers? My only suggestions is moving the fpv cam over a little bit.
Those were actually fires. Some farmers were burning of the dead grass in their fields.
Thanks Chris, Once again your FPV videos are the only to inspire me to look into FPV. Have been checking into the equipment after the Buffalo Jump Videos. What a way to see the sights. One question the wing seemed to be covering ground very fast did you speed up the video or were you flying that fast?
Stephen, I only sped up the video once and that was just right before the dive down the mountain, but the proximity down the mountain and all the rest of the video is actual speed.
thanks "got it" that is when I noticed most. It appears you were moving at a good clip the rest of the time.
this is Awesome..! no GPS or FC? how far the peak from launch point?
I'm using the Dragon OSD and GPS. The peak of one mountain was 4 miles the other was just over 1 mile.
+burnsflyer that's pretty far.. nice job
Very nice 😊👍
Thanks, Frank! I'm hoping to do some good mountain proximity flying this summer.
This is a video I can relate to, I just started flying FPV...Its harder than shit, the other guys make it look so easy.... I look forward to seeing you flying like the other guys...60mph through the woods... Godspeed..
still the same ? or have you improved?
+AMA a little better now. I fly wings more than quads.
nice
Great video! Can you tell me the steps to make my 250 quad flip and roll?
Andre, I'm using the CC3D flight controller which enables me to switch between stable mode and attitude mode. So with a toggle switch programmed for Attitude mode I can roll it over or do a front and back flip.
how do you actually do a roll in that mode... thx
Andre Terzian you blip the throttle then cut throttle and pull the roll stick over hard until it's flipped then give it throttle to recover
Oh man, how fun. I wanna play. I need to get that other motor so that I can do this too. Wow. How beautiful. You need to mount a microphone inside the plane. You could send it back to yourself through your audio channel also and be able to hear the motor. It would give you more of the feeling of flying inside the wing.
That's Nuts :D i got to try that ;) lol
Josh, yes that is the same location. The cliffside is Cascade as well
i have flown where your mountain clips are from neer cascade. correct me if im wrong
Sweet Dog. That was cool Chris. Fun.
Chris, Have looked at a few FPV writings and videos. This is really something! The first to inspire me to think seriously about getting into FPV flying. Thanks
Majestic scenery, sharp flying and well edited video that blended perfectly to the music! Great job! JMSTECH
This is definitely my brother Chris' best FPV video yet. Good job Chris.
Yes I agree. Warm weather comes and so does the wind. Go anywhere an hour away and the wind is gone.
nice video. sure wish the wind would go away here!
I'm flying a Maxi-Swift wing with a DX-201 on-board camera and GoPro for HD footage.
Great!!
thank you
