I haven't been to Wilson's prom since I was a kid. I remember that tidal river was the colour of tea due to the gum leaf tannin
Yes, that’s normally the case when tide not flowing in.
I have been telling myself i need to hike more. Thanks for the inspiration. Great vid

Great video
Thanks for watching and your feedback 👍 If you look at our channel you’ll find another Retro Rally video from 2023 that you might like. Oh and don’t forget to subscribe 👍
Please keep in mind that the Big Drift is a VERY sensitive cultural site to the local Indigenous people, they are a part of the oldest living culture on earth. A welcome to country at the start of the video would be the very least you could do! Please do better next time. Furthermore, drones are illegal in all national parks in the great state of Victoria. A fine of up to $3000 may apply!😡 P.s. First Comment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😛
Thanks for your comment and stopping by our channel. Appreciate your thoughts, however no drone was used in the making/filming of this little video. Hope you enjoy our channel and please consider subscribing 😊
Great walk, what time of the year did you do it?
We did the track in mid November. Thanks for stopping by and watching our channel 👍😊
Dios mío el número 1 nunca avía visto a nadie tan petardo 🧨 conduciendo un coche de rally por dios 😮😮........😂😂😂
Damnit where was my invite? How do you even get invited??? I have a 96 Evo IV RS begging to do this! Its a waste just having it sit in the garage. Could also bring the 97 Supra but tbh its a slow heavy pos and Id rather drive the evo lol
Thanks for the effort, genuinely appreciated, would have liked to see/listen to all the cars go off into the distance though as with the RS200 8:20 , rather than being cut short once they turned the right hander.
Thanks Mark for the feedback, appreciate you taking the time to reach out. I’ll keep that in mind for the future.. Thanks for stopping by and watching 👍
@@4bootswandering .. and thanks for not putting music over the top :-)
The 1st Bmw must be rookies
Yep, very first event for the car
I thought the car looked good. You don’t have to be the fastest always 👍
At least you got water, the year we walked to Clematis Falls it was dry. The Venus Baths are a great place to cool off. 👍🏼🤗🙏🏼
Winter Wonderland. That certainly would be a highlight! Thank you for taking us along on an amazing adventure. We look forward to redoing the Overland walk in a couple of months. 👍🏼🤗🙏🏼♥
Yes it was an amazing experience, hope you have an amazing time on your revisit of the hike.
@@4bootswandering not too long to go now
That Forest is pretty as are the water falls. Very impressive water falls. Definitely looking forward to this. 👍🏼
Pity you missed Mt Osa, one of the best climbs and views ever. Barns Bluff gets the most views along the walk. 7:34 nice find. I agree the first day is the toughest. 👍🏼🤗🙏🏼
Great views along the way. Love the streams and the vegetation is beautiful. So much more duck board than I remember.
You were brave to jump in that water. Love the waterfall. 👍🏼🤗🙏🏼
Was cold, but it’s a thing you have too do 🤣
OMG THE SNOW STORM! Great lookout over the lake. That bloody chain 🤣 Great first day hiking the Overland track. It is on our bucket list., We did this walk 23 years ago and we are about to do it again!.
Hi How did you Macpac Jackets hold up in the rain and snow ? we are doing The Overland Track on the 1st February 2023
They were perfect, no issues at all with them. We also used the Macpac waterproof over pants, again no issues with them.
Thanks ours arrived yesterday we have watched all your videos and you seemed dry and comfortable. What did you use for your other layers and camp clothes?
We walked in pants most of the time, one day in shorts. We both wore a thermal top base layer most days except one. Lightweight shirts were also worn at times, usual fleece jumper. That was the basis of what we wore. Camp clothes we had lightweight pants and our sleeping thermal top. Had light weight camp slippers too.
Nice trip and great movie!
Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it 👍 Don’t forget to subscribe to ensure you see our next adventures..
Just found your channel and like your style. Very interested in watching all the other Overland Track videos. Thought the shots of Cradle Mtn from high up were stunning, especially with some snow cover. Have never seen it from that angle before. We stayed at cabins near the lodge years ago and did the walks up to Dove Lake and around the area and have very fond memories of that time.
Glad you liked the video. There are other OLT track videos on our channel. Thanks for your feedback on the style of our video, we appreciate it 👍 Feel free to subscribe as we have other trips / hikes planned in the very near future ⛰
There's a resident Tiger Snake at Du Cane hut.
He/she must have been out when we visited 🤣
4:38 - you're supposed to keep to the track and that means walking through the mud.
Yep your 100% correct.. I did mention that exact point at the time. But you can rest assured by Day 5 she was walking straight through the mud. Thanks for your feedback, we appreciate it.. J & N
Great filming and enjoyed your honesty! Cant wait to do the track!
Glad you enjoyed our video. You’ll enjoy the track, it’s an amazing experience.
