What is the Vespa all about ? They sponsored your trip ? Thanks for sharing.
Hi, that's wishful thinking! Our hobby is riding Vespas, there's plenty of videos on this channel showing our various trips and meetings
Nice ..... You should Visit Matmata gabes and chenini (Worth the winter Visit) . Enjoy Tunisia 🙏
Welcom To Tunisia ❤❤❤
Thanks, a lovely Country and wonderful people - we'll be back!
where did you get the p251x batch
Great holiday! Glad you enjoyed it...anyone would have. Now...back to the VESPAS!
Thanks - hopefully it won't be too long!
Enjoy the holidays ☀️
Thanks!
Welcome to Tunisia ❤❤❤
Thanks you, we had a great time - people so friendly!
Today I looked up the Lomo bags that you used on this trip and was surprised to find that the company is based in Scotland. I was also pleasantly surprised to find what good value for money they seem to be. I just wanted to ask if I was right in thinking that when, for refuelling, you unfastened the strap going across the top of the Vespa seat, the bags stayed in place? Thank you, and have a nice Christmas. I'm looking forward to more of your excellent videos in 2025.
Hi. Yes, we found the best way was to put the large strap over the seat rather than under, but the other straps will hold the bags while refuelling.
@@vespadventures4557 Thank you for the reply. The Lomo panniers then would seem to be a much better option than a bag carried on the pillion seat, which has to be removed for refuelling. Which on a Vespa is quite often when touring! A happy new year to you both.
Did you buy another van to have converted ? Be nice to have VCB admin who are pro taking vespa with a camper .😂
Hi. Yes, that['s exactly what we're doing. I think as we all get older it will become more acceptable. I prefer to spend my scooter weekends riding rather than sitting in the bar these days, which is more the norm for European events. The traditional "British" style of riding there and back but parking the scooter up for the weekend gets boring for me nowadays, I'd sooner be out exploring!
Thanks again for another great video. I continue to be amazed at the quality of your videos, for which you have told me in the past you use a 360 degree camera. So much so that I am toying with idea of getting one myself, but the problem is know absolutely nothing about them. If you didn't mind it would be a big help if you told me which one you guys use, perhaps which make and model? If not, no worries, I will continue to watch your Vespa adventures!
Hi. thanks for your kind comments! I use an Insta 360 One R (a slightly older model bought off eBay last year) and use the Insta 360 editing software to produce the clips. There's plenty of user advice on TH-cam which I found very helpful.
@@vespadventures4557 Thank you!
What exhaust is that?
Sip Road 3, although I previously found the Road 2 to be possibly more suitable on an untuned engine.
Keep all in my opinion .
I wish I could, actually sold the GTS in the end! Always replaceable, where the other two are more individual
@@vespadventures4557 well keeping and saving classic ones is also a good deed . So well done still . Hope the gts got a good new home too .
Looks like a terrific event, one to add to the 'must do' list. Great video as usual guys, thank you.
It was , excellent from start to finish - highly recommended
Bedankt voor deze leuke video. Fijn dat jullie zo enthousiast zijn over onze door Vespaclub Tessenderlo georganiseerde Belgian Vespadays.
Bedankt voor het kijken, het was heel leuk - we komen terug!
Hello... A word of thanks for this beautiful video... and of course for the nice words... Team Vespa Club Tessenderlo
Thank you too! Hope to see you all again...
You did a great job on this video mate
That's really nice of you to say - thanks! It was the 1st one i ever made!
Great video thanksforsharing. M6, Friday afternoon has to be GTs.
Would have been quicker filtering for sure!
The locals must love all that traffic......
Especially in peak season!
You have less than 1,000 cc total, so you have to keep all of them.
I hadn't thought of it like that!
A map of the trip for those of us in internet land from else where in the world would be nice. Or maybe I clicked over it.
Good thought - I'll try next time to incorporate one - thanks
keren paman
Hi great van, is it a L4 H3 or so?
Hi. It's L4 H2
Lots of people saying let go of the modern one but have they actually ridden one? I've got a Vespa ET4 and its perfect for around town! almost kick myself if I take the geared bike to work soon get fed up going up and down the gearbox. That said I bought the ET to do up and sell towards a PX but its still here after 3 years.
I do agree - although I have now sold the GTS! Julie had an ET4 - a great scooter and so underrated.
Let Twist and go , go all day long
Like we did last summer?
What is the tank range?
Good question, didn't do enough miles to test accurately - definitely a larger capacity than a GTS
Just converted a van if you want help
Thanks - we've already got someone booked.
Excellent:) really captured a great weekend ......big thanks to the organisers.
It's a joint effort as you know - everyone who plays a part deserves thanks
I would keep the Auto and the PX. I'm saying keep the px. Only because it's an None Indicator model and they are getting sort after.
For now I've finally decided to sell the GTS, it's the easiest to replace if I need another..
Great little video👍 Btw did you go through a no entry sign in St. David’s?
Unfortunately, yes! We got away with it - I was trying to find some parking near our BnB..
Lovely countryside and St Davids is absolutely breathtaking!
It is, one to revisit at some point
Excellent, cheers
Thank you!
Hi there, how did you get a paint match yo tich up the 160gt? I have the same scoot in red & looking to touch up the odd scratch..do you have a paint code? Thanks, Keith.. dirty dozen sc Bellshill, North Lanarkshire 🛵
It had been resprayed in Spain before I bought it, I guessed at a Seat red from Halfords, pretty close match if not perfect. The advantage is that the paintwork isn't great anyway, so it didn't really matter.
It's the Vespa way of life.
Absolutely!
Most uncomfortable van I have ever driven .
That's interesting, I don't find it too bad, but I am hoping that I can gain some extra legroom when the bulkhead comes out
Nowhere near as horrific as a T6 to drive
Nice van 👍🏻
Lovely video, the Wicklow mountains are about 50 miles from my home I,ve ridden them roads many times, think I might head up that way again next week..I have subscribed and I am looking forward to your next video..
Many thanks for subscribing. We loved our brief stay in Ireland - hopefully we'll be back soon
Always a good ride with you and the missus! Thanks!
Any time!
Now, THAT'S something you don't see every day!
A bit of a surprise!
Ummm...okay. lol
It was an interesting sight!
I missed a cracking event by the looks of things.
An excellent weekend
That must be a first 😂
A first for me, not sure if the dancers were regulars!
Nice video mate! Cheers from Argentina.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What van did you get? Ours is a 19 plate sprinter chassis. I've just got 67 splitty vw camper that needs a lot of work.l
Peugeot Boxer - XLWB they are the widest van on the market, allows for a full length bed - good luck with the splitty!
I've just put bid on a campervan with towbar and also side bed so has space to get a scooter up the middle .
That's an option we'd looked at, but we'll also want to use the camper for longer trips without scooters, so trying to work out the best compromise...
I've got a sideways trailer as well which saves taking up space inside .
Very helpful video mate
Glad it helped
Thanks for the ride, y'all! I love Liverpool...and I enjoyed Belfast (beautiful city center and a great prison museum tour -- and no, that's really not an oxymoron!). More to come???
Thanks - plenty more to come
Thanks for sharing. Very nice footage ❤
Thanks for watching
Hi andy, we are currently in our campervan having been to Spain Portugal and now France, met a guy who drives hgvs goes away for 3months comes back does some agency work and goes away again i think you know when the time is right for you
Sounds ideal - that might be the option for me - have a great trip!
One thing to think about is if you pop off before your wife after you have retired .Could she manage on her state pension after you have gone .I'm 69 soon had 2 private pensions took the main one at 66 when state pension kicked in .Second one also pays out as life insurance tax free if die before 75 is taxed after that .I've set date for second one at 70 now pot suffered from COVID then wars starting just recovering now .I shall take the 25% tax free at 70 leave rest invested for wife .She is on old state pension and would get half annuity monthly payment from 1st pension then have 75% off second pension pot .I never thought about this when retired early but glad didn't cash in pension pots early .Your right about health now better off financially but not got energy needed to do what I want .We had 3 good years doing VWds with an old camper with Vespa on the back used to make it our main holiday have 3 plus weeks .I'm after another camper at the moment but wife not as keen now .She would rather be home working on her garden .😊
Good point, and well worth considering. Thanks
Another mighty fine video! Always a pleasure to see you and "The Missus." You made me laugh with your "two-stroke tingles." I took my ET-2 out for a short ride just this morning, and I could relate!
Thanks, it was an excellent day out - helped by the weather!
fab video and ride out..
Thanks, it was, the weather certainly helped..
