I am an Australian expat living in Thailand for more than 20 years. I have held down good jobs here for about the first decade, then have been retired since.
In all videos I show what it is like to live in rural Thailand. Happy to receive suggestions and all comments.

Windy delta kite day extended
On a windy day the delta kite was fun but better to wait till later in the day and the bird kite also gets another flight.

Droning over home

My drone is not an expensive one and the video quality is very ordinary. But it serves for me for what I want and this is posted for me look back on with nostalgia. If you enjoy the ride with me, you are welcome.
Afternoon garden flight
มุมมอง 323 หลายเดือนก่อน
The whole country is beautifully green so I got out my favorite 5" quadcopter and mounted the old Mobius mini camera to record this great time of year and the state of our garden. JELLO,,,,,, oh yeah, Lots of wobbly jello, but the scenery is just so lovely and I wanted to keep the video as a time capsule so uploaded it anyway. Will make another sometime soon... maybe.

An e-bike ride around one of the small recreation areas in our town. Lovely cool afternoon and some local color from the joggers and dogs. Video quality is not great, I changed my camera settings a week ago and forgot to set back to 4K for this outing, doh.
Mae Poen Mae Wong afternoon country drive

Driving in the western part of Nakhon Sawan province and finding some very rural roads and the activities of locals. Following the recent rains, there are fish to be had in the flooded waterways and mushrooms foraged from the forest floor.
Take an e-bike ride with an expat around a Rural Thailand Reservoir
มุมมอง 53ปีที่แล้ว
Today we go for an e-bike ride around Tabsalao Reservoir and the park lands and resort bungalows. Any other mode of transport would not give this kind of access to the areas that can be done using an e-bike. Using an e-bike as a means of retirement activity and exercise has worked out perfect for me and if you like it too, let me know in the comments how it works for you.
Follow the Chao Phraya River to Wat Sing. E-Biking in Rural Thailand
มุมมอง 67ปีที่แล้ว
This ride on the e-bike is along the Chao Prayah river revisiting places that we have been to many times over the years. Nine years ago, and before the new bridge was built, we crossed the river on a very home made looking vehicle ferry. I have a video with low res quality, but interesting content of that from that time in two parts here: th-cam.com/video/XqkcQUoJve0/w-d-xo.html Eight years ago...
Road tires on your Mountain Bike style E bike? E-biking in Rural Thailand.
มุมมอง 3.4Kปีที่แล้ว
Many E-bikes are really just mountain bikes with the e-bike workings added but retaining so much of the mountain bike set up. Primarily here I look at the use of nobby tires on the fat bikes of all sizes, and just experiment with putting road style tires. As it works out, the nobby tires are adding noise, rolling resistance, and puncture vulnerability. I change them out here to road style tires...
It's the cat's fault that it is not raining in Thailand.
มุมมอง 89ปีที่แล้ว
The ritual is called Hae Nang Maew loosely translated as Young Cat Parade and is performed only when the farmers are getting into drought induced distress, and they believe that the performance of this ritual will help make the rains come. Perhaps you can comment if you think that this is a form of scapegoating, where the blame for the lack of rain is heaped on the cat, the cat made to suffer t...
New E Bike for the Rural Thailand Expat Check the pricing!
มุมมอง 367ปีที่แล้ว
My next E-bike was always going to be a folding bike, and I was missing a lot of opportunities to ride in some great destinations because I could not fit the 26" E-bike in the car, and the family doesn't like outings in the pick up so much. Been shopping for a while, found major price differences between the online shops, and now have the one I hope will fit the bill well.

Romance or Friendship, mysterious meeting and where could it end?
Hi from the Uk, any chance of giving some details about your kites ,and the building of them. ie , CG position, prop size, motor etc. I'd love to try to build one to entertain my grand daughter. Thanks Bob
HI Bob, thanks for watching. Kite is common one you can buy on AliExpress 1.6m delta kite or 1.9m bird kite. CG is about at the spreader bar. 2212 1400kv with 7x5 prop and 40 amp ESC (30 A okay). Motor mount and thrust vector is laser cut plywood I get in Thailand from a local guy who does not sell internationally. See how you go searching whatever shopping sites you have available. You could make it yourself if you are into model making. Cheers!
We're can I get one 😊that's great 👍
Finally the tire I've been looking for for my ebike. My wife and I have a tire like this on our Reg. Trek MOUNTAIN BIKES, but not for our new EBikes. Thank you sir. Your about 20 plus video we've watched and yours nailed it.
Don't buy the cst bft it doesn't last 5 mins, I've had 2, in 300 miles on my tri-ride T-rocks, just switched to 20x4 schwalbe Moto x much better tyres.
Breathtaking farmland.....😊😊
It changes with the crops planted. Right now it is a green ocean helping to keep the breeze cooler. :)
I run Innova Hybrids. The 30 PSI pressure really reduces rolling resistance. The bike coasts amazingly, and uses less electricity per mile. No more "roar" from Knobby tires. The bike also corners much harder.
Happy 73rd birthday, may you have an absolutely awesome day. Thank you for sharing that special birthday ceremony 😎👍
I run Big Smoothies. The quiet! The lack of rolling resistance! They also work easy off road - not single track.
Yes indeed, I really enjoyed you showing off such beautiful places. Wish I was there now because I definitely would go for a Sunday ride. Thanks for sharing 😎👍
Lovely little montage. Can see you love your gadgets, sir. I'm always here to support your channel, so keep em coming 😎👍
😀 Thanks for the comment and support. Cheers!
That was a lovely time lapse, of a very stunning and beautiful place 😎👍

Nice comparison with old models :)
Nice ride around you had 😊
Thank you for watching. Cheers!
Lovely Scenery, along with a stunning sunset. I really like the way your just out and about enjoying a ride. Thank you for showing and sharing this video. I look forward the next one. Take care for now 😎👍
Appreciate your comment, thank you!
Stunning views along with a really good watch. Great stuff so thank you for sharing this video as I I know these are places many people watching will never get to see. Your always showing us so many beautiful places...thank you and keep em coming 😎👍
Superb footage and a nice ride 👌
Nice, thanks for showing the tour.
It's great location to explore ☝️👍👍 watching from Malaysia ✌️
Nice video look forward to your next ride
Really liked the way you hung the bike up there and I think that was great how you used a toothpick once you had found a hole in the inner tube and I'm sure that's what I will use in the future if I get a puncher. Thanks for sharing and look forward to watching more 😎👍
Nice unboxing and look forward to your next ideo
Great show of a ritual in Thai land used to help bring on the rain. Very Interesting indeed on the use of a cat in a bamboo basket. Thank you for sharing this information as its something you don't get to hear about unless your in that environment 👍
Really good bit of information in regards to pricing on the folding ebike. Enjoyed this very much and please keep them coming as I look forward to watching more from you. All the best and of course thanks for sharing 😎👍
Thanks for your interest and comments. Cheers!
Not a fan of the sweet popcorn. Salt is better.
Subbed. :)
Thank you very much for the walk around the market. I really like the way everything looks fresh....awesome little place. Always keep yourself hydrated sir as it looks so hot there. Take care and see you in the next one 👍 😎
Thanks for asking. See in the comments to the video, there really is nothing like durian. It would be impossible to sell in England. I compare it to Vegemite from Australia, that I enjoy but no Thai person would go near it.
Hi there, what would you compare this fruit to as I'm in England and was wondering what the taste would be like. Thanks for sharing 👍
So much amazing looking food there, its got my mouth watering...so glad I watched this whilst eating my dinner or I would have been in trouble lol Thank you very much for the tour of the market "brilliant " keep em coming 😋👍
Absolutely incredible sights you show us on your channel and I really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing and take care sir 😎👍
Theres lots of beautiful places in the world and this is one of them. Thanks👍

Thanks for tour around the market and that chicken looks really good 😋 . Thanks for sharing 👍
Glad you enjoyed the walk, chicken was delicious, thanks for watching. 😀
Fun to watch the fast drive through the mountain road!
Enjoyable and relaxing. Thanks for the ride. Thailand looks like a good place to ebike.
It's so satisfying to just jump on the e-bike and go exploring there's nothing better especially somewhere like Thailand what a lovely place thank you 👍🏻
Great Video What A Good Place To Ride Your E-bike Lovely Sunshine 🌞 Cheers mate👍🏻
Thanks Dave and yeah, great sunshine. Our problem here is it gets TOO hot and sunny. Air cooling via e-bike ride is not a bad solution though. :)
Good one! Thanks.
Enjoyed that video and will check out the rest of them. Just subscribed to your channel and look forward to watching you e-bike around rural Thailand 😎👍
Great video! Love seeing what the country side looks like in different areas. Your Thai is quite good, I’m envious!
Beautiful land!
Get a flysky fs-i6 or fs-i6x transmitter and put a a decent folding prop & a 2212 1400kv motor and 30amp esc , get the reciever for the transmitter and get it all calibrated properly & then go into the settings of the transmitters throttle curve and reduce it by 40%-50% and you will have it flying really nicely …… I have a video of my first conversion & didnt know much , killed it a few times and got the glue gun out & waxing sticks & glued it all back together , now ive been flying a couple of yrs now ive learnt a little , got myself 3 more same planes and have 2 ready to go (just waiting on uk weather to warm up a little)…. I have mine running on a 3s 1500mAh lipo & can get a good long flight out of them (well i did my first conversion anyway) But do invest in a programmable transmitter , u will benifit loads from it 👍👍👍 Happy flying
LOL. Looks like nobody has been kind enough to disabuse you of your lack of knowledge of modern Multi Module Radios there mate. That little Jumper will wipe the floor with your old Flysky. Not that the old FS-i6X is a bad radio - just a little (a lot actually!) less competent than the Jumper. 😉😊
Maybe you fly near some radio antena towers. I had rxloss and failsafes near them.
Nice one, it's very quiet too .. my 5" is quite noisy, your name suggests you are in BKK, but the video look "rural" :) want to meet up sometime for some flying?
Can you share the frame design ?
Nice, the buzzer is a good idea given the size. I also uploaded a video today. But with a bigger drone.
