Record Changer has been serviced. All old hardened original lubricants removed, completely cleaned, and lubed with 100% synthetic lubricant. Then reassembled.
I do this same process with each Record Changer I sell. Since it is completely mechanical, Idler Wheel Driven changers take some “repetitive training” to cycle and sync correctly, each and every time without pause.
The more these players are used after a complete overhaul, the better they run continually thereafter.
Very few Idler wheel driven record changers will cycle automatically or right away after they have been completely serviced. Less than one week of daily use will cure any issues for years of fun!

Hello to Mr. Erico love to watch your videos and I always wonder how you find these TT's this one is really cleaned up nicely ,sorry to bother with this but this having a ceramic cart a person buying this TT may not have the older type of amp that were mostly used when this was out a lot of todays amp systems are not made the same I noticed that the bass control seems limited what I mean is I also repaired several TT's like a BSR by fischer with ceramic cart and a garrard autoslim which had a ceramic cart ,when I played these TT's through my modern amp like my sony surround sound system and a onkyo amp that has a phono hook up in it the bass was very lacking it had some but it being a ceramic cart they always have a lot of midrange and treble it only workes and sounded better when I played these through a older amp that had a mag and ceramic seperate connections for the cart but finding those amps are hard radio shack sold them but they also not easy to find even if you hook it up through an equalizer it will improve the bass not a lot but then you would have to lower the mid and treble adjustments pretty low ,this is what I have encountered working with ceramic carts thats why I took the garrard ceramic cart and replaced it with a audiotechnica 3600l cart big improvement on my BSR you cannot put in a mag cart won't fit but I kept that BSR TT in honor of my father who had one like it ,I did not want your customers to be disappointed when they buy this TT JRo
Thanks for the message and you are correct - I explained this in a summarized form at the beginning of this video regarding using the AUX IN or Line IN connection for ceramic carts. I usually go into more detail, but in the actual ebay listing I also state the same. In all my previous videos for changers with ceramic carts I have explained in more detail than here. With New receivers from about 1975 and up the phono input is boosted specifically for magnetic carts as they are now the norm. If connected to phono input lower volumes will sound fuller but will distort at higher levels. The buyers that purchase these know that when they purchase it. In general I believe people know the sound differs significantly from a Magnetic Cartridge. Remember the Crosley and alike record players sold most now have ceramic cartridges with limited mid range and bass. Stilll this changer will sound way better than those. Disapointment in purchase won't be due to lack of info provided.

@@RockinJohnnyaitken no the headshell is a permanent connection by the manufacturer. But any cart can be installed
I have one of these, been sitting unused for probably 40 years once we replaced it with a Technics SL-5300. Definitely needs a regrease as manually spinning the platter without even hitting start/stop etc makes the tonearm go to the 45 RPM position.

@@larryshaver3568 I think it ultimately depends on all the variables of a particular player. Also the manufacturer . So it’s always a gamble. Like the Voice of Music website is very strict on what the use compared to what other on line cartridge resellers sell. I also think there are 2 different outputs to consider. I just rebuild and decide when I play a record. If I don’t like what I’m hearing I change it up until I do.
Nice, full sound! I am always impressed what stereos from the 70s can sound like. From an age when having a stereo was important and hence the manufacturers focused on the sound quality.

Never understood the logic of auto changers where albums are concerned, a side then b side would make perfect sense.
@marcmarcello981 - probably because no standard was ever set industry wide. It related more to like a 4 album set to be played in the order it was created to be heard. like each disc would have a consectutive #. so they could be stacked & played as numerical sides or letters. side a, b, c, d, e, f, g,h or sides 1-4 then flip to sides 5-8

Nice unit. I like the models with the slanted fronts. I have a Clarinette 85 i did thats got the slanted front but nobody wants it locally for some reason. Im working on a Claricon right now that had a BSR with a bad motor but i had a really nice Gerrard from another parts unit that ive decided to install instead. The suspension mounts are the same and i only have to drill two new holes for the screws that hold it down for transport. Ive also got a 1972 kenwood on the workbench i just finished up. The wood case was beat up so i cleaned it up and painted it white. I like how it turned out with the white case and upgraded blue LEDs.
