This is how a Z28 should sound! I'm very happy with the results. Before and after changing the exhaust from the guy i bought it from to Hooker headers, summit x-pipe, 2 Dynomax Bullet mufflers dumped before the axle.

    With the optispark, did you have to set it to tdc with the aftermarket cam? I took off my opti and i spun the crank and installed the opti because i was told it doesn’t matter how it goes on and now the car wont start and it was running before. And i installed the opti right

    Just spun main bearings on my LT1 Fleetwood, time for an upgrade and this setup sounds and looks badass. may just port stock heads instead of upgrading but.. depends what machine shop says on cost of redoing stock heads. have you ever got it on a dyno? sweet car buddy, thanks for some inspiration.

    This was amazing to watch. I wish I could do a build like this on my Impala SS with a t56 conversion. Im sure the first start was an amazing feeling. How long did the build take start to finish?

      The intake elbow is a Trickflow TFS-3150801. I think I bought it at summit or jegs, but they are carried at many retailers. Find the best price!

    Getting ready to stroke my 95. Had a couple questions. Are those the 21 degree heads? Where did you get the T56 conversion? How difficult was it to swap from the 4L60? Lastly who did your motor work/build? Car sounds great by the way!

    • @jsv87
      @jsv87 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Actually, these are the 23 degree heads, ported by Lloyd Elliott. (Specifically theses, with the upgrades: "elliottsportworks.com/?page_id=155" ) The T56 conversion was way easier than what I had expected. I just followed writeups that others have posted on the forums. The only conversion kits I know about are on Ebay or the one sold by Hawks Motorsports, but it's pricey. The alternative is to find a junker to pull everything out of. I did the build myself, but had a local machine shop clean, clearance and bore the block for me.

      If it helps, swapping the exhaust on this Camaro was the first car modification I did.... and it lead to a 383 stroker over the years, LMAO!

    Very nice build and sounded so damn good 👍. what would a build like this run a person, If you already had the car and it running or being rebuilt? Please post a pull/burnout video please I would love to see this car doing what it was built to do lol thank you for a awesome video.

    • @jsv87
      @jsv87 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! It's really quite difficult to pin down a price for everything. It's going to range somewhere between $5,000 - $15,000. It all depends on what parts you use, whether you buy a kit of some sort or not, etc. To save money, I bought tons of used performance parts from other Fbody owners in the different forums. Also your machine work prices vary from shop to shop and your plans may change in the middle of your project and you may go a different direction. (T56 was a last minute change I made and wasn't expecting)

    Damn man, great build! I'm curious what pressure plate you went with? All the plates I've gotten from summit are cast out of tolerance and I get clutch chatter🙄

    • @jsv87
      @jsv87 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, because I did the 4L60E conversion, I ended up buying a whole clutch kit for the T56. (Specifically this one: www.lmperformance.com/906501/gm13-hdss-act-hd-perf-street-sprung-kit-chevrolet-camaro-lt1.html ) I haven't heard any significant noise or experienced any slips with this clutch kit. It's been solid since day 1. Hope that helps!
