The best in sound is the Thump Go 8 and more features, I check the sound of the Trash and is trash sound don't like it so I buy the Thump Go for $360 is really good choice!
QUESTION: does the thrash 12 have a field replaceable swappable battery like the thump 8 does?
@@thepartydocdj yes
Great review! Thank you!
Love the drone footage!
I was at GG Park today! Was that you playing music and flying a drone?
Yes
@@Deep80sDance Cool. Next time I'll say hi ! 😊
I just bought the one that won this review (before seeing this video), glad I chose correctly 🙏
Does the Trash 212 Go come with a companion app?
I don't think so
Hello Is trash go good for busking with an electric guitar and drum machine ? It looks ok for recorded music, but live with instruments is another thing. Thanks for your reply
I thought the thump go was 8 inch not 10 like you said
Its 8" I corrected my statement in the video
Great succint video. Thanks.
Love your mini DJ booth. Where to get it?
Thanks. One is a DIY I made from wood & an old speaker stand the other is on Amazon "Gator Frameworks adjustable T-stand foldering work station..."
Prime Go for the win!
Ah dobra stara vremena. Ah it is good old time.
I love my thrashs, I am going to buy one thump and a second one latter. I think the smaller thumps would make good stage better monitors.
They're great speakers
I grew up in San Rafael during the 80s and spent a lot of time at the clubs. My friends and I would hang out at Carlos and Charlie’s in Mill Valley. The DJ there was one of the best I’ve ever heard. This music reminds me of those days. Thanks for sharing and taking me back. 🙏
I used to DJ at Club Heartbreak in Sausalito from 84 to when it closed. Might have saw you there ;)
@@Deep80sDance Yes, the Heartbreak Cafe! Wow, then maybe it was you?! It’s been nearly 40 years but I can remember the DJ as an Asian or Latin guy with some serious DJing skills! You or he had me and friends dancing all night! 🕺💃🪩 😊 BTW -Didn’t they close the club cause they got caught serving to a minor? 🤦 We went in on Friday and the doors were locked up with a big sign that said ‘closed indefinitely.’ Anyway that forced many of us to Baxter’s where the vibe wasn’t the same and the DJ was terrible. 😣 Well my friend, kudos to you for making my youth the best time ever! Keep the mixes coming and long live the 80s! 🤟
@@AK47_seekndestroy Sounds like it was me. I came there when that club was dead, built up the little room (loved those 4 hanging JBL speakers) then DJ'd & installed the sound system in the big room with the round diner counter in the middle.
@@Deep80sDance I remember the big room but didn’t venture there often since it was mainly for teens. Funny how this is all bringing me back. 🙂 My group back then were just out of college and 1/2 the time always coked out. The owner would party with us and let us hangout after hours along with some of his cohorts mainly cocktail waitresses. That’s when the real party started! 😎If only the walls could talk! 😂
@@AK47_seekndestroy Yes, those were fun times. The owner would let me use his office for those "fun times" ;)
Good stuff! I remember you and Cameron Paul at Studio West back in 1984!
Thanks!
is it possible to link the mackie thump go with thrash212 go via bluetooth?
Not sure about mixing & matching via blutooth
Love the 80s sound and the setting. Thank you!
The California Hall used to be kicking Kevin AJ Black the good old days, popping locking
Hell yeah !
Great review! Exactly what i needed
This is real club music it takes me back to the old Steve Masters days.....
Great song selection and mixing. This is taking me back to the Hi Energy days in San Jose RIP to the legion Cameron Paul and Michael Erickson.....
Hey Man, great review. Can you let me know what that Dj stand is @ 13secs? I have denon prime go and thump go's. Thats look perfect.
Thx for the video. We will play at little markets, 50 peoples max i think. So when it should be a Mackie Go, i need to take the Thrash.
None of them. I tried both and bought the much better Freeplay Live in the end.
Hi ! Mackie Thrash 212 GO vs Everse 8 - Which is better in terms of sound quality?
IDK I've never used/heard the Everse 8
GREAT review! Simple, CLEAR, and to the POINT! I am sure that you will save people a lot of trouble if they are trying to decide between the two speakers. Thank you for taking the time and effort to produce this video!
Thanks. I have been trying to pick between the two. I do like the mic ducking on the GO, but that is not that important as I will use this for biker church services and the like, so I will be dailing back music to speak, not "making announcements" during playback of tracks. Again, thanks. *I am assuming ONE Thump 212 should work good for 20-30 people.
Put it on a 7foot speaker stand it will suffice for 100+ people.
Very cool! I will have to listen to the whole thing. I grew up on this music
Please everybody wants to rule the world
Thanks and you’re taking me back to the golden age of SF nigh clubbing.
Studio West was the fist club that I heard seamless mixes and I was like how did they do that?! Glad I was there and experience Studio West and it’s magic!
Man all those buttons on the cdjs and looks hard to learn. Lol!
Nice mix and Studio West was where I first heard clean mixes and I was blown away in the early 80’s. Didn’t know when I was going there it was DJ Cameron Paul mixing! You had to be there and it was the best hidden place to be in SF. So this is a tribute and different djs doing mixes?
Around 82-83, I had a Filipino friend name Ben and I lent him my Sanyo boombox with the 2 mics to record one of his dj crews dj sets. So when he return my boombox, he have me a copy of the set he recorded and I was blown away. I never heard dance music like that and had groups like Lime and Gino Soccio. He told me to go to Studio West and I was already into wearing Kansai t shirts . Lol!
This is a tribute to Studio West night club in San Francisco with dj Cameron Paul? The Aida “Looking for number 1” was a big hit there,
Yes. I used to DJ and was a lightman there. I was working the lights when Cameron was on.
The man knows. 🎧❤️
Does anybody know the address of the Late great Studio West in SF? used to go there but was always out of it and dont remember the location . could ya help me out anyone. TY

Thank you. Downsized my hobbyist set up to the prime go. I needed some motivation after losing the option of serato stems. This video was just what I needed.
