I recall YEARS ago that Babe Ruth was credited with a 715th HR, after going over stats. Apparently, he hit a walk-off HR but because there was a baserunner, the HR was reduced to a single because, in those days, the game was over when the winning run scored and whatever it took to get that run home, that was what you got credit for. But all stats I see show Ruth with 714.

When you play basketball from a young age and spend thousands of hours on the black top, in pickup game after pickup game, the color of someone's skin doesn't matter, the only thing that does, is if they got game. Basketball shields you from the rest of this fucked up world. That is what I always loved about it. It's funny how it works, we are all equal until you step on that court, then we will see if you can play. It's a great game, the best.

Especially in the NBA. $ left to finish college, practicing more than anyone, doing work himself, family, team player, tough as hell, doesn't see color, etc.. he's a man's man. So much confidence. He was a perfect person to lead a team, a team he stayed with.. to me, loyalty is huge. Make ur team better. Don't leflop to a different 'superteam'
