this is their first album, and only one recorded for 36 years until their second in 2011. funny that you mention the Buzzcocks, cause this was recorded before their first album came out lol yea that drum solo in the middle is always a blast.. great transition into the slower section again. i love this song so much

I gotta recommend their 5th album from 1991 Horrorscope. Pretty unusual for a bands 5th album to be their best but a lot of people think it is. Different lineup than previous albums.

A little late but If you like more punk rock faster tempo songs, the last thing you forget is the album is more for you title fight we’re younger and drew more inspiration from blink 182 in their early stages.

Pronounced “Fu-GAH-zi”. Make sure to check out the baseline in the song ‘Two Beats Off’ on this album. Phenonemal.

5-star album, 10/10 and their best album, Id put it as one of the best albums of the 1990s alongside Dookie and Nimrod. I do think they have quite a lot of other fantastic albums but this is their greatest work.

Insomniac is their greatest album IMHO, some of the most angry and passionate lyrics, and i love the harder, more powerful sounds. I think they were at their best here and only Nimrod, and Dookie come close to it. American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown are fantastic too though!

I love this album. Relentless, bludgeoning, and Gene Hoglan on the drums. What more could you ask for?

Loudness is relative to the sound, as opposed to just blasting your ears out so you can't hear for the next week and the constant ringing in your ears.. Loudest band I ever heard was Black Sabbath in 2014. I thought the roof was gonna cave in. But it sounded so good.

Some of the kids i went to high school were close to MXPX members through their church connections. My first concert was seeing them at the Roxy on Sunset Boulevard when I was 17. I saw all these 90’s punk bands when they would pass through Pomona’s Glasshouse. Those same friends band opened up for Lagwagon.

Totally agree about the sampling. I'm listening to a song to hear the music, not movie quotes from the 1980's or whatever nonsense they ruin the track with. It works in very specific situations when it's done tactfully, but some bands think shoving obscure movie quotes into their song makes it more intriguing, it doesn't ..

Primus is my favorite band and Ive played bass for 25 years but I agree Les is a bit over rated as a technical bass player. Les has a very unique writing style, is maybe the best at strumming the bass but as far as writing difficult bass lines there are tons of other bassist more capable. This is one of my favorite albums this is the music that made them here in Fort Worth at Joe's Garage this is what we heard them play every weekend and knowing we were seeing something special great times.

Because Nirvana was such a heavily bootlegged band, post Kurt's passing lots of unreleased or unfinished songs, demos, live recordings were passed around. Some were untitled and matched with sketches of early lyrics in notepads that were misidentified. If you can believe it, we'd pay $30-$60 for bootleg VHS or CDs from smoke shops and out of the back of magazines just to find a new Nirvana track we hadn't heard, or a live show we hadn't seen.
