Appreciate you checking out my level Genzaijh!

Hi, just wanted to give everyone an update on this level. This video is version 1.0. today I uploaded an improved version of this level Version 1.01. Here are the following changes to the level. 1. I made the path two blocks wide instead of one. People thought it was too hard / frustrating as one hit by fire or enemies and your dead. 2. I added a death barrier just below the path. So if you fall off the path you will respawn immediately and don't have to wait 7 seconds. ( This was an issue because I built the level stage at the top of the level so you'd have to fall 65 blocks before you despawn. In a level where you're likely to fall a lot, that could get annoying really quickly. For myself I just used save state to speed up the process. But not everyone uses save states. So to be less of a headache I made these improvement changes. Now I'll focus on building another style of level.

Reminds me of a SMW hack about travelling through Brazil. That one got very popular. I really like the lanterns!

I actually thought this was going to be the Robot 64 level remade in MB64.

In Cursed Mirror style, you can't refill health by water, so your only option is hearts and coins to heal, and also thank you so much for playing my level :D

Red Coin Locations #1 @0:33 next to the grave Stop the video at @1:23 you can see the next two red coins. #2 On the tip of the dagger ( right side ) #3 at the bottom of the cross ( left side ) #4 @7:15 on top of the Big ruby ring @7:51 The remaining 6 red coins are on the rib cage of the skeleton

@12:58 is a tutorial of how to jump up the skeleton's spine. Once you jump, don't let go of the jump button and keep mashing the kick button while holding foward on your anolog stick. This will prevent you from slipping down. If anyone else wants to time stamp the star locations or redcoin locaitons be my guest. ^^

Its my first play through. If you want to skip to the part where I get all 8 red coins in one go go to @1:08:19 its less than 6 minutes. Just before that I also got 8 red coins but died right before I got the star by bonking and then falling to my death.

AHH you broke my level 😂 thank you so much for playing, this was really fun to watch. You got so close to getting the right solution a few times, but you made me realize that I definitely need to tweak some things to help guide players. I think the level doesn’t currently do enough to highlight areas of interest. Not going to ask you to go back to this because you’ve already put so much time into it but in case you’re interested, here are some hints: - at no point is the player meant to do any fancy jumps. If you feel like you’re having to race the clock, or force your way into an area; you’re probably cheesing something. - you were so close to having the right solution at one point. You were correct in assuming you had to throw the block that falls onto the button at the starting area.

If you use any tips and tricks with the cull marker to make your level. Please share with me what you've done. It would be cool to see. Please don't do troll tricks to soft lock people in one way door entrances. Trap is OK but let them get out. I'd like to see what ideas you've come up with using this tool.

Later I'll post all the time stamps of where each star and red coin are located. It is an exploration level so you can get the stars and coins in any order you like. So I post a few now and will come bqck to update later. You can just skip to the section you need or want. This is the most difficult move to preform in the level. Triple jump, wall kick, backwards ledge grab. Note I discovered stay away from the wall. If you hug the wall it becomes harder to preform the jump and harder to catch the ledge grab. I noticed this this time around. Later while playing I got more consistent getting this jump. Its because I noticed thsi trick. Right after preforming the tripple jump press A and hold the anolog stick towards the wall just before you hit the wall. Keep holding the stick to the left and keep holding A, this will help you land the ledge grag. In the next section where you need to do the triple jump to collect the star have the start of the 3rd jump right next to the ledge keep holding right and keep holding A. You should be able to clear the gap and makr it to the next platfrom. @8:30 From @19:40 till about 24:00 I kept failing at the triple jump, wall kick, backwards ledge grab. The main reason I kept failing is Mario was standing right next to the wall. When Mario makes contact with the wall it slows him down on the ledge grab portion and he falls just short of grabbing the ledge. Took me a long time to realize this so when jumping try to avoid standing right next to the wall. Right around @24:09 I discovered what I was doing wrong. The first jump failed but when I lined myself up for the second jump you can see my stepping away from the wall jump before jumping. I landed the jump. Here you can also practice the combo jump. @52:00 Blooper Stars ( 1) 1. Blooper Star @47:40 Mario Stars (5+1) 2. Mario Yellow Button Star @2:37 3. Mario Mustache Star - ( 1 x triple jump, wall jump, ledge grab / then triple jump ) @8:30 4. Mario Foot Star @4:44 5. Mario Hat Star @46:18 6. Mario hand star @46:33 7. Giant Coin Star @34:00 8. 80 coin Star 9. 8 Red coins ( Star on Mario's Hair ) @1:04 9. Final Star behind the cage. @42:56 8 Red coins locations 1. 1 behind spiny @56:30 2. One on the Blooper's leg @55:40 3. 1 on Mario's back foot @1:02 4. 1 on Mario's front foot Two ways to get it. @6:00 & @17:00 5. 1 on Mario's nose 6. 1 hidden on the big coin @28:30 7. Spiny's Eye @ 56:00 8. One in the clouds @37:55 After @1:04 I've already obtained all the stars. I then proceed to do the final last two challenges on the big coin. 1. Run on the disappearing platforms to the cloud. 2. Ride the shell on the disappearing platforms to the cloud. ( The last I didn't succeed while shooting this video. It is tricky to pull off but is fun to do. The hardest section is the stairs. You can't go to fast or you'll hit the wall and you'll lose your shell. You can't go too slow otherwise you won't make it up the next step and you'll hit the wall losing your shell. For me its a fun last challenge and also to fly around the level to look at things. Keep an eye on your health. Falling from the high sky you will loose four health. Make sure your health isn't too low because if you die, the reenforced block you broke will reset itself and you'll have to start all over from the bottom to get back up to the top.
