I don't know if I can get advice from here but please I do need advice So I'm a student in a university serving as a student fellowship leader and the rule is that as a leader we aren't meant to have relationships. While I was praying, I got the confirmation that a fellow leader is my husband. We weren't really familiar with each other but somehow we became friends and slowly feelings started to develop... I hadn't told him anything about it yet. We were really good friends and we kinda got closer and we spent a lot of time with each other. One day he decided that we should give each other space like that cuz he's emotions is becoming too much for him to handle...still hadn't told him anything yet. I didn't know what to say and I just agreed with him. He was so quick to detach from me and I was hurting so much...so so much. It actually turned into an issue and at some point I started to resent him and all. A lot of drama was going on. During this time I kept asking God what was going on... he kept telling me to "wait"...nothing more. I did wait but I was hurting. I had a lot of dreams about him and they kept pointing to the same thing. Then we reconciled at the end of the year before school break. He became friendly again, we got closer again omo... but the thing is...he was hot and cold... i am confused. I confronted him about it and he did change but changed back again. He said to me "I'm not ready to deal with these things.. so we can be friends ...maybe more that friends but I'm not putting any effort into it" Then he said "I have feelings for you but I can't love you and that's just how it is" I haven't said anything since then and I stopped looking at the things I wrote down that God said... I walked away from him, I was hurting too cuz he never reached out then while praying God said to me To Go back to the things he said regarding him...I kept refusing until I did...the next thing he said was to pray for him...I'm like...why!!!" He asked me to trust him and still wait... Reading my bible I keep getting the the same...to hold on, to wait and to trust God. He's graduated now...but I still see him and I'm wondering why it has to be me...cuz why would I hold on to a person who says he wouldn't put in any effort or that he can't love me. I hadn't seen him for weeks now and I decided to come out early in the morning to a place I like to pray...and just as I was about to leave I saw him just in front of me...but he juts walked away from me... I don't know... Some one please say something to me...this doesn't feel good

What a beautiful story Mama G, I am so inspired and now looking forward to know you personally. I totally agree that wives are the gatekeepers in their households but instead we place emotions ahead of the trust God has given to us. It is never an easy journey, in the eyes of God two become one flesh but the enemy blinds us and we see our husbands as enemies when we have a common enemy. Imagine it’s two people becoming one, that means double the blessings and double the burdens and afflictions. Wives be intentional and form that intimate relationship with Christ, place Him first and you will witness the favour of God❤
